Explanation of the Prayer of Saint Michael [Father Robert J. Altier]
DesertVoice.org ^ | 03-02-06 | Fr. Robert J. Altier

Posted on 03/02/2006 10:15:09 PM PST by Salvation

I am posting this for SOLDIEROFJESUSCHRIST

Dear Folks in Christ,
Let me first warn y'all that it is a fairly lengthy document as it is all about Saint Michael and the reason why the Solemnity of the Archangels is celebrated on the 29th of September every year.

He sent it to me as an Attachment in Microsoft Word. All that I have deleted is my email address with my name and since he addressed me by my name -- I have deleted that too.

The Rest is authentic.

Father Altier also explains in great detail the meaning of every sentence of the Saint Michael Prayer.

Finally, I am extremely depressed about what has happened to him. I strongly believe that If I am a practicing Orthodox Catholic who accepts Church Teaching in every aspect of my life. It is only because of Father Altier's Homilies and the profound Miraculous effect that they have had in my life.

Please also check out the following homily at
http://www.desertvoice.org/ArchiveText/2004/Alti070804.htm
where Father Altier speaks about the Purification of the Catholic Church that will take place asap or in the near future.

It is only because of Father Altier's Awesome and Excellent Homilies that I am a practicing Catholic today or a Catholic at all.

SOLDIEROFJESUSCHRIST

My apologies for the delay in getting this to you.

Some work is being done on the website to accomodate the audio files from various talks. I had hoped that this would have been completed and you could have gotten the entire talk.

The talks, unlike the homilies, are not transcribed. Included are the notes I had used for the talk.

I hope this will fulfill what you were seeking.

Fr. Robert J. Altier

I'm sorry I cannot listen to this through work. I will attempt later. In the mean time, can you provide me the condensed version? Thanks.

notwithstanding -- further up on yesterday's thread has a link to an article about the Teaching about Touching program and its alternatives. That's basically the crux of the whole thing. Flynn is being vindictive because Father Altier disagreed with the TAT program -- hope you can listen to the audio later.

I don't get it. Flynn allows for alternatives and then, when those alternatives are recommended, he cries foul?

I had to sign off on the "TAT" documents simply because I'm a parent who might be around the school one day. Whatta joke.

Pray for Fr. Altier and ArchBishop Flynn.

I would love to know which parishes in the Archdiocese Freepers are part of. I'm in a good orthodox parish with an aging, but brilliant Priest - Fr. Mark Dosh.

Fr. Altier was also the spiritual director of Catholic Parents Online which group ArchBishop Flynn hates.

He is a Man of God and a Soldier of Jesus Christ. He certainly did not deserve to be treated like this.

**************

The Church in this country is undergoing a trial such that I cannot ever recall. I pray that our Pope will address the turmoil soon.

From what I have read about good Father Altier, he is on the right side of the TAT issue, and his persecution is a puzzlement to me. I will continue to pray for him.

Thank you for sharing all of this with us. I am most distressed about this issue, and concerned for Father Altier and all who depend on his good counsel. I hope and pray that he will soon be restored to his place at desert voice.

There is rank homosexuality in a number of Religious Orders in the Catholic Church specially in Trappist Monasteries, Benedictine Monasteries, and Franciscan Friaries and even among some Jesuit Provinces.

This is probably yet another reason why His Holiness has come down so hard on the seminaries with his latest letter regarding homosexuality among the clergy -- starting right at the seminaries.

The repercussions are JUST beginning to be felt. It's a death knell for the sick homosexuals who use their precious calling from God as a dating service.

Dear Bearwash,

As, I have your personal email I.D. I will send the winzip file to you asap which contains all the Homilies of Father Altier for 2001 and 2002.

In fact, I will do more than that.

I will send you U.R.L's and possibly post them here on this thread for the Homilies and Talks that he had given in 2003, 2004, 2005, and the Homilies that he had given in 2006 right up till the last day that is Ash Wednesday of this week.

I always felt for some time that the Archbishop of Minneapolis would take action against him. He is an Ultra Liberal who is Pro Gay and is known to give Holy Communion at the Cathedral of Saint Paul to Catholic Homosexuals who are active in their lifestyle.

Now, I am so happy that I am not discerning a vocation or a religious life anymore as I came extremely close to losing my sanity, well being, and catholic faith when I was in formation as a Postulant at the Trappist Monastery in Conyers, Georgia and at the supposedly conservative Franciscan Order in Loretto, Pennsylvania where many of the Friars were openly gay.

I was so traumatized that when I returned to India all I wanted to do was join a Pentecostal Church or a Baptist Church or become an Atheist or Agnostic that is till I started reading Father Altier's Homilies on a regular basis along with saying the Family Rosary and Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

I came extremely close to cursing God in India and the United States as a result of these horrendous experiences in Religious Life in the United States.

It seemed that wherever I was discerning a vocation, I was being subjected to all kinds of immoral behavior by openly gay Friars or Monks -- some of them were even bisexual.

I hate to say this on this thread. But, The Director of Postulants before I joined the Franciscan Friars Third Order Regular had died of AIDS-- to make matters worse his successor was a Friar who was openly gay and had deep rooted hatred and contempt for all Church Teaching.

Whenever, I spoke about inappropriate behavior to any one wherever I was -- all that they did was deny that it was happening and then attack me and engage in all kinds of Verbal Abuse.

Thus, I really know what Father Altier is up against. My prayers are for him 24-7-365.

One of his favorite comments in a number of his Homilies was that as Catholic Christians we are called to live Jesus Christ 24-7- 365 days a year.

We do not get a vacation from being Catholic. He is an extremely Holy Priest and spends many hours a day in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Some of his finest Homilies are on the Real Presence as well as on Our Lady.

In Jesus and Mary,

EWTN ..well then they'd have to accept the fact...that the New Vatican ll service ..does not have the TRADITIONAL St. Michael prayer said--you know out with the "old stuff" no such thing as a devil or sin or Hell---we're all going to Heaven thing.
You know I did some research not to long ago AND life sized statues of St. Michael the Archangel are, a NO-more-make thing!Just look at the Catholic Churches...where is he????????
for SHAME!
