Folks, I've been doing some research for some future articles and decided to create an apologetical "knowledge base" of doctrinal resources defending the traditional Catholic and Orthodox stance of restricting the ministerial priesthood to males. I make it available to you below and also at Vivificat's "Favorite Sites" section:

TOPICS: Apologetics; Catholic; Current Events; General Discusssion; Orthodox Christian; Religion & Culture; Theology

I'd just recommend adding to your list Inter Insigniores, which was published in 1976 by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Acta Apostolica Sedis, and is the principle source-document for Ordinatio Sacerdotalis.

The Holy See has been responding (in the negative) to the demands of the radical feminists at least as far back as the papacy of Paul VI.

Women have a special role in the Church. I don't understand why any would want to trade that for priesthood.

imo - some of the first to call them heretics are those that allow them to teach thier kids in Sunday school and become missionaries (teachers) to other locales

Regarding the Catholic Church, the Vatican has said it over and over; the Church does not have the authority to ordain women to the priesthood.

"Rome has spoken. The case is closed."
