Bob Beckel claims to be a born again Christian...Fox News,Hannity.
Bob Beckel says he is a born again Christian.Speaking as a sinner saved by grace,I challenge! He went on to bear false witness within a minute of his claim.
God bless Bob Beckle, but I dont believe a Christian can continue in the democrat party, arguing for abortion, gay rights and banning the name of Jesus from the public square.
I challenge the term "Christian democrat" all togeather. I don`t buy it for a moment.I don`t believe Jimmy Carter is a Christian either. To continue to support abortion etc, after being supposedly saved, does not wash!
To be fair,"moderate republican Christian" is also a oxymoron.
Now I guess people will want to tear me a new one?
It would need to be a very small broom closet.
Do a search on freerepublic with the words Bob Beckel and it comes up with Beckel saying he`s a Christian. On Fox last night Bob said 6 years ago he came to faith.
He went on to say last night that the Republican party has hi jacked Christianity.
I realize that. See my post 31.
Just to follow up, what was "new" to me was Beckel's stating that he was "born again". I saw it when he said it, and it caught me by surprise, because I hadn't heard that about him, or from him, before.
The hardcore Rats usually aren't stupid enough to do this, especially in an election year. The preferred method is to hand the ball off to their pals at the ACLU....yer honor.
Banning the name of Jesus from the public square??
Everytime they go in the voting booth to vote Democrat, they are voting for this very thing.I`m surprised you did not know this???
A vote for a democrat is a vote at some point for a democrat judge on the court, who in return try to ban Jesus from the public square.
I like Bob Beckel and I pray that democrats all come to the Lord Jesus.I just find it empty that after 6 years,he still supports all the democrat evils.
There is supposed to be some change in a man when he comes to Christ.
I find it amusing that people associate the Republican party with Christanity and the Democrats with godlessness.
The Republican party is not so much Christian as it is that Christians are just stuck with the Republican party. A lesser of two evils kind of thing.
Nope. A lot of your political ideologies inform your faith. They are not derived from your faith, but rather they influence it.
There is a growing group of Christians who are disaffected by the political right, believing that evangelical Christianity has been hijacked by right-wing interests. To this group, "moral values" extend beyond gay marriage and abortion (although these are important issues too).
Then, do not ignore the possibility that one might choose to be a registered Democrat simply becuase the the local Republican party is corrupt through-and-through. At least the Democrats actually get to vote in primaries. I can't remember the last Republican primary race in New York.
Not in Germany. In the States it is a big contradiction!
There should be some noticeable change in a man after 6 years. To still be arguing for abortion, homosexuality etc is SHAMEFUL"
I totally agree! However GOD can harden the heart, like he did to the pharoh in Exodus, to bring about his Will!
Who knows exactly what his plan is? My impression is of a false prophet! Preaching peace while slaying the yet to be born. Declaring love while engaing in perversion. Looks false to me!
And five years ago, he was urging people to dig up dirt on Republican electors, so they could be blackmailed into changing their votes for Bush.
And four years ago, he was writing checks to an online hooker named Tiffany. Who attempted to blackmail him.
Well, he has changed. He's become humbler and nicer since the hooker blackmail business became public (maybe he realized that he was getting the punishment he had wished on others). Prior to that, he was as mean and nasty as Bob Mulholland.
Not all of us progress in our Christian lives at the same rate, nor does God deal with the same sins in each of us.
