I'm Baptist but that's way too much to read this early in the morning.
Southern?
Yes.
Hi, graybeard.
Cool! My father is a retired Southern Baptist minister. Hellfire and brimstone. Just kidding. He didn't preach, he was more interested in teaching.
Mornin'
Someone will be around directly to pick this article apart I'm sure.
I'm not of the persuasion that my beliefs are the only route to eternal reward, but plenty of people do think that way.
Pray for the subject of my tag line and his family, they still suffer from not knowing the fate of their loved one.
Will do.
(Hellfire and brimstone. Just kidding. He didn't preach, he was more interested in teaching.)
I hope he taught the word of God and not religious hypocrisy of many liberal heretics and/or legalist add on doctrines of men.
(I'm not of the persuasion that my beliefs are the only route to eternal reward, but plenty of people do think that way.)
As bible believing Christians know, the Word of God teaches that salvation comes by believing what the Word of God says (not man );
ICor.15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Which baptist group produced this?
No religious hypocrisy. Conservative to the bone. Stayed out of politics and ruled the roost. Must have been that stent in the Airforce in the 60's.

Who are they now?
(Who are they now?)
All saved Christian saints (saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus the Christ at His cross at Calvary and who alone is at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for the saved sinners who beleive Jesus is Christ. There are unsaved people who call themselves Christians but do not believe Gods Word is what it is, God's Word.
(No religious hypocrisy. Conservative to the bone. Stayed out of politics and ruled the roost. Must have been that stent in the Airforce in the 60's.)
Christian to the bone, conservative politically, saved by grace in the finished work of God's Christ at calvary. And vote against those who would destroy the worship of the One true God of Israel and His only begotten Son, Jesus of Nazareth, Lord and Saviour of them that believe Him.
I can't repeat here what my father says about what is going on in this country. It would singe your ears and burn your eyes. He did tell me that this country won't be conservative again until the Vietnam generation dies.
What I mean is among the baptists, which denominations of baptists are the descendants of these you've listed?
Southern Baptists, American, Northern, etc.....
I'm sure you understand what I'm asking.
