I'm punched in the gut with shock. I was just told that the 28 yr. old son, an only child, of one of my co-workers is in the ICU with terminal melanoma. One of his lungs is already filled with a tumor.

I knew something was afoot, but we never found a moment alone for her to tell me the last time I saw her (I work from home and she's at the office). She kept it very private .. until she couldn't anymore.

I would be most grateful for prayers for Mike and his family. Dear Lord, I just can't get past this is in my mind. 28 yrs. old.

Sweet Jesus, please ... if it's Your will, I pray to you for healing of this terrible affliction in Mike, bring Your comfort and help to Mike and his docs in this struggle. Please bring Your tender mercies, the shelter of Your comfort and peace to Mike and his loving family, whatever Your will. Amen

Our Master of Grace, we Plead in Intercession for this Dear Man. In the Name of Jesus Christ, we Ask for Miracles, for All is Possible with our Great God. Please Touch Mike, my King, through Thy Infinite, Saving Love. Hold him Close, and Cherish him with Mercies and Peace. Speak to him of Thy Care; may Healing Fall Like Gentle Spring Rain. Strengthen this Family, O Lord; Overflow them with Thy Spirit of Grace.

Bring forth to Michael the miracle of healing that is so desperately sought, that these parents not be crushed in their agony. Let healing be the portion of their son, to the Everlasting Glory and Honor of Your Name.

May the hearts of family and friends be encouraged, for You have promised not to leave us comfort less. May the Spirit of God fall mightily upon this family, their shattered friends, the medical teams and caregivers, and each one who whispers Michael's sweet name before the Throne of Grace. We unite as one, Lord, as we seek the fullness of years for this mother's child.

Prayers have been sent. Oh, dear God. I have only one child too - a 23 year old son. I can't even imagine. It hurts just to think of anything happening to him. My sincerest prayers for a miracle for this young man. May Our Lord, in his infinite power, grant healing. And I pray that He may send His mother, Mary, who saw her own son suffer and die, to comfort this man's mother.
