I haven't seen anything on free republic about the ordination in St. Louis for the Institute of Christ the King on Friday June 15. These are the picture I took. It was the most beautiful liturgy I have ever seen. If anything else has been posted I'm sorry to repeat.
Catholic ping!
In replies #56 and #71 on this thread I posted links to photos from the Mass. The New Liturgical Movement blog has a recent post of high quality photos from the Mass that are posted on Flickr.
There are more photos here and here, and here.
I was there, and it was the most beautiful mass I have ever experienced. The litany to the saints was amazing. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any video of the whole litany. If anyone finds a video of the *litany to the saints* from that mass, please ping me. Thank you!

Besides Archbishops Finn and Burke, who were the other bishops that were there?
Besides Archbishop Burke and Bishop Finn, Auxiliary Bishop Perry of the Arch. of Chicago was there.
Thanks!
Would the Seds think this a valid Ordination based on the Traditional Rite?
I’m just curious, alway find those Seds amusing.
Do you know if any arrangements were made for a professional video recording of the Mass?

Ditto that.
Thanks for the ping!
We attended a Latin Mass Friday night at the Cathedral here. I posted this on another thread:
The archdiocese here featured a Latin Mass last Friday as part of a Two Hearts society devotional evening. The priest (from the local FSSP Indult parish) brought his deacons, six altar boys, smells, bells, and his entire Schola Cantorum plus 3 ringer sopranos. The Schola did Schubert's "Mass in G" in its entirety during the Mass. It took 1 1/2 hours . . . but it was worth it. They had a Eucharistic Benediction, Procession, and Adoration afterwards until midnight, with 8 priests hearing Confessions throughout. (My daughter took the opportunity to get in the slowest line, she said the priest was a Jamaican and 'very sweet'.)
Unfortunately our Cathedral is nowhere near as magnificent. It was built in 1936, and the 30s style of socialist/idealist art is all too apparent, although thankfully the architecture is French Gothic and beautiful in its bones. The interior is extremely spare, but the thing you notice the most is that the building is TINY (weren't many Catholics in Atlanta in 1936). They have crammed so many pews into the nave that anybody over 5'2" can't kneel without turning sideways.

The organ, however, is magnificent.
WOW! I thought the Brits did ceremony better than anybody on earth, but when Holy Mother Church really pulls out all the stops, there is nothing more magnificent this side of Heaven!
From where do you think the Brits got their ideas? ;-) I have got to visit that cathedral!
