Via Le Forum Catholique and the website of the French diocese of Frejus-Toulon come some photos of the ordination of Jean-Raphaël Dubrule (to the priesthood) and Eloi Gillet (to the subdiaconate) in the cathedral of Toulon by Msgr. Domenica Rey on Sept. 22nd.
Both men belong to a newly recognized community, the Missionary Society of Divine Mercy, which is entrusted with a personal parish in Toulon, the parish of Saint-François de Paule.
There are many images on the diocesan page linked to above, but as always, a sampling:

Also, from the Google translation of one of the links above (pardon the bad translation), The company [Society] works for the new evangelization. This is why, it promotes the public processions, carries it to the door [door-to-door], the missions of [the] streets. Anxious to make known Christ with all, the Missionaries of the Mercy more particularly carry the Moslems in their prayers and do not hesitate to go to their meeting, to announce Miséricordieux Christ [the Mercy of Christ]. They are put under the patronage of happy [Blessed] Charles de Foucauld, witness Christian in [the] Moslem world.
I could see myself joining this Society, given the above description. Now, if I could get past the "problem" of learning French. :-P
Catholic ping!
Wow is right!!!!
Never heard of them, but I’m really impressed by this tiny glimpse! (They appear to use Babelfish for their English translations - maybe you can use it to study with them? LOL!)
I liked the bit about public processions, because I think that’s very important. In the US, modernist bishops fought to kill them, and in general, succeeded. Some are coming back now, such as our Corpus Christi procession in St. Augustine. But the new, modernist pastor is trying to kill it, so we shall see.
In Spain, modernist bishops and priests tried to kill the Semana Santa processions, and almost managed to do so. But the laypeople fought back and kept on dragging the pasos (floats bearing the statues) out as they had done for hundreds of years, and the clergy finally had to back off. Now, as the tide turns with the new Pope, many of the clergy are suddenly discovering that they really loved these processions all along, and their attempt to suppress them was just a terrible misunderstanding...
Of course, the real hard case, total modernist anti-public-display clergy are still opposed. But since most of them are going to reach retirement age within the next couple of years, I guess time is not on their side.
Won’t last... Clowns, Mimes, and Cajun bands are the future! (Sarcasm)
On a personal note I pray it spreads.
BTTT
These modernists priests need to be purged from the church; they aren’t helping it at all.
I have one word for you ... immersion. The quickest way to learn a language is to be immersed in it (unless you happen to be an illegal alien in the US, but I digress). French is also the primary language of the Institute of Christ the King.
