Please read my first posts about this. I am not arguing for this guys’ diet.

To clarify, me saying there are health benefits to God’s pre-NT dietary laws doesn’t mean I am in favor of a Genesis diet that this guy is promiting. I personally think he’s taking it out of context and ignoring everything after it.

All I have done is point out that God’s commands have benefits on multiple levels whether we know it or not, or recognize it at the time or not. Obeying His commands generally have both physical and spiritual benefits to people who obey them. Even though we aren’t under the old dietary laws there are still tangible health benefits associated with them. And further the guy promoting the Genesis diet is all wet because in pre-flood times that diet worked for people, post-flood it would not, God knew it and knew man would need to eat animals and so allowed it.

Yes there were some health benefits to some of the things God had them do (not just eating) but not eating pork and certain seafood and such was pretty much ceremonial. People eat those things now without any health problems. (in moderation obviously)

This is all about pragmatics. There is nothing in the Bible which support the health aspect of the old covenant cultic diet of Israel living in the land.

In fact it was Jesus Himself who said, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him ...".

Nobody stood up and said, "Wait, Jesus, doesn't you know about the health problems associated with eating pork? Surely you have read all the scientific literature."

The bottom line is that folks who advocate certain "Bible diets" do not do so by relying on Scripture alone (or, actually, at all). It's pure pragmatics. Which is fine for people to believe if they wish to do so, but don't try to pass it off as the diet Jesus (or Moses) would endorse.

It’s clear you are selectively reading my posts and combining your responses to me with quotes form other people’s posts. Please stop replying to my posts, I don’t want to hear from you anymore about this.

Something about an Adam & Eve diet dosen’t seem good. Didn't they have some dietary problems?

As you wish. You would appear more reasonable if you didn’t make silly comments like, “Pork is one of the more dangerous meats to eat.”
