You think they wouldn’t have mentioned it was a Christian if he had shot up an atheist’s convention or an abortion clinic?

I'm still betting on Muslim convert (although he may also have been a nut or had a personal grudge, such as rejection by a girlfriend), because of the beard and the skullcap, if those reports were accurate. Furthermore, the family has two sons, and this would be the one, I believe, who was going to college in OK, although I don't know what school.
My point was that we're pretty early in the story to be deciding what the media's bias is doing to the story. From early reports, this is a kid raised as a homeschooled Christian who went berserk. I don't think all the Freepers who were questioning whether it was a Muslim or not or whether it was a hate crime against Christians are going to now want the background of the shooter played up.
