John 6 is pretty specific last time I checked
Indeed it is. Why, then, doesn't your Church teach all of John 6, such as:
6:51 "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
This passage is "pretty specific" that taking the Eucharist gives one eternal life. Your Church does not teach that. Why not?
6:53 "Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you"
This passage is "pretty specific" that taking the Eucharist is required for salvation. Your Church does not teach that. Why not?
