Need Freeper's Prayers(Mother is in cardiovascular post-op CVICU)

As a believer, I always see miracles and good things when God and prayer are involved.

Tommorrow, at 1030hrs CST, my mother, Ann Bryan, will undergo heart surgery to replace/repair her mitrol valve in her left ventricle. She has been in the hospital for ten (10) days at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR under intensive antibiotics for a diagnosis of endocarditis caused by a strep infection in her blood, and on her heart valve.

Anyways, we believe in the power of prayer, and I have personally witnessed miracles here on FR. Any additional prayers sent her way would be appreciated by our family.

Luckily, the doctors and nurses say that her prognosis is good, and the outcome very favorable, but please also pray for the nurses, doctors, and staff at Baptist Hospital.

Just wanted to let you know when I woke up this morning the first thought the Lord dropped into my mind was to remember your mom’s surgery...so prayers continue.

Prayer on the way for the good lady. That's a very serious operation, but our God is a very serious healer.

My wife spent almost a week in the hospital a few years ago with that same disease, endocarditis, that she got from contaminated lettuce in a McDonald's salad. I had never heard of that disease but the cardiologist said that it's a very serious condition. She didn't have to have surgery, thank you Lord, but now she can't take any antibiotics or eat meat from animals that have been fed antibiotics. That means we have to buy only organic meat and poultry and it isn't cheap. Moral of story, don't eat salads at restaurants, especially fast food joints.

Good morning! We are in the surgery waiting room and she just went in. Dr. said it would be about a 3 hour procedure. She has just received a pre-op "happy pill" so she is doing better than any of us now.

Thanks for the prayers....our family is reading them now since we have wifi in the waiting room.

We lift up Your servant, Ann, and pray that by the power of the resurrection You would restore her to complete health. Guide the hands and minds of every medical person involved in this effort and may they show extreme care and kindness toward her. Surgeon just came in and was very optimistic:

Said everything went well and he repaired the valve since the infection didnt seem to have damaged her valve....great news...

However, she isn't out of the woods yet, she is on a vent for a few hours and will be in ICU a few days.

Her worst danger is a blood clot, a stroke, or a staph infection while in post op...
