Workers rebuilding a sports stadium on the site of an 18th century Jewish cemetery in Belarus say they have no choice but to consign the bones to city dumps...
Before the war, about 1 million Jews lived in Belarus and 800,000 of them died in the Holocaust. Today they number 27,000 in the country of 10 million.... Belarus' president, Alexander Lukashenko, has shown little respect for Jewish culture. In a radio broadcast in October ..."You know how Jews treat the place where they live. Look at Israel; I was there," he said.

I can't think of anything to say
We have a high school football field that was built over a cemetery. Many families moved their loved ones but many bodies are still there.
In many countries, bodies are buried one on top of the other but when the plot is full, it’s dumped out and they start over.
Not saying it’s right or wrong, just that’s the way it is.
God, recall the souls of thy faithful.
Most of the younger whores in Athens are from Belarus.
“Belarus’ president, Alexander Lukashenko...suggested that when Jews were numerous in another town, Bobruisk, they turned it into a pigsty.”
What a classy guy.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
A colossal and barbaric tragedy. May God have mercy on those who made this horrific decision, as well as those who had any part in this process. Belarus has joined the infamous and insane in mankind's history of debauchery toward the Jew.
Priceless historical artifacts are bulldozed into the garbage with heavy equipment on the Temple Mount and the Israeli government doesn’t give a crap, why should Belarus be any better?
Where are the religious and political conservatives in Israel???? I so much want to believe this silence is the shadow of a much larger plan.
The older ones still reside in Belarus..
This is really beyond sickening.
Jewish remains dug up in Belarus
Local history professor, Yevgeny Malikov shows human bones at a sports stadium in the city of Gomel, 300 km (187.5 miles) southeast of the capital Minsk, Belarus, Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Workers reconstructing a sports stadium on the site of an 18th century Jewish cemetery in Belarus say they have learned to ignore the human bones in the soil being dug up and carted away to city dumps. The stadium in Gomel, a town that was once a center of Jewish life, is one of four that were built on top of Jewish cemeteries in the former Soviet republic.
very possible to be ancestors on my father’s side. Gomel or Homele depending upon the language.
Though note, Karl Marx was of Jewish extraction. That does not condemn Judaism, no more than condemning Catholicism because Hitler was of Catholic extraction (and I’m Catholic)
Maybe that is our problem. We don’t speak up enough. These antisemetic folks seem to have LOTS of words.

I agree. Had this been the resting place of any other ethnicity, all hell would have broken loose.
And what do you think usually happen with centuries old bones ?
