Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I know some of you have already heard but others of you are not aware of the journey my family began yesterday.
After seeing an Ear Nose and Throat Dr, we were referred to the University Pediactric Emergency Room. After a CAT Scan, & MRI the Dr's determined my son Zak (13) has a brain tumor. It is located in the brain stem where they are unable to operate and or biopsy. Our son is of great spirits and is a very strong boy. I believe his faith is holding him steady and providing him with the peace he needs at this time.
Zak is not in any pain but recently experienced symptoms of staggered walk, and dizzyness. He acts like he's intoxicated, verbally and physically.
I am confident that the Lord is in total control of the situation. We too feel God leading us through this trial and we will walk the whole journey with us.
My prayer for this is that it is an opportunity for unsaved members of our family be saved through this experience. We are praying for complete healing and expect nothing less from the Lord.
Please do share this with your congregants and family we appreciate all your prayers.
Zak is open to prayer and has been prayed over 4 times already today. We are blessed. I feel we are in a better situation than most people due to my contacts with churches and PCC family members.

Several years ago, the son of a good friend of ours was also told he had an inoperable tumor. During a retreat, the youth and leaders annointed him with oil, and prayed over him. He lost consciousness. When taken to the emergency room, scans revealed that the tumor had burst. Doctors were then able to operate to remove the remnants. I’ll be praying for the same for your pastor’s son.
I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for your son Zak, that Jesus would heal him and remove any trace of cancer from his body.

Thanks for the note and excuse me while I remove the lump from my throat. At the risk of offering unsolicited advice I would merely say the following:
While I am deeply heartened that you have set your faces like flint to walk with God through this, I would only add that while God may certainly choose to bring family members and others to Him through this, He may also choose not to use this event in this manner.
I am learning that sometimes things are really hard and as much as I desperately and humanly want to assign some divine purpose to a hard enduring event, the reality I must learn is that He is the Master and He may do with my life as He sees fit. What He chooses to do with me and through me is His decision alone. By His grace it is my purpose to reach that point of surrender because it is to Him that I owe all.
Thanks again for the post. You are in my prayers. I pray that God may grant you true peace through His Spirit.

I HIGHLY recommend Chris Duma, MD at Hoag Hospital. He is top-notch in his field. This comes from personal experience (my husband was his patient). I would try for a consultation.

Praying for Zac’s complete healing.
I have said a prayer for your son.
Now its time for you folks to get to work because the Lord helps those who help themselves.
First, call Dr. Glomeier, I think that’s how he spells his name, at Duke University and ask him how far he’s gotten with his experiments using Polio virus to kill brain tumors. I once had email conversation with Dr. Gromeier or Glomeier when my late wife had he mtc spread to her brain. Glomeier had announce back in 2001 that he had cured brain cancer in a chimpaneze, high level hominid like ourselves, by injecting Polio virus into the animals brain. He said he might be given permission in a few years for human test. Try to get your son into his test if they exist. Also look up what hospital has a cyber knife. The cyber knife is computer guided radiation pulses that destroy the tumor without disproportionate damage to good cells. It is very good for brain tumors that have proven in operative in the past and is currently FDA approved so you don’t need admission to an experimental regiment. Just find a hospital that has one and go there and get him treated. There are a number of them in the New York City northern NJ area. Also look up THX-101 or City of Hope. This is a Stage II or III nano chemoterapeudic drug that is able to penetrate only into cancerous cells and kill them while leaving good cells intact. Look up City of Hope and WNET for a program they did about this drug. Also look up Graviola a Brazilian fruit which leaves have been found to be highly effective against cancer cells. A US pharmaceutical firm developed a drug from the leaves ten or more years ago that cured most cancers but didn’t release it because they couldn’t isolate the active ingredients int he plant that kill cancer cells and therefore couldn’t synthesize the drug chemically so that it could be patented.
