Click the link to listen to the following songs, each will make you laugh because they are so absurd, and cry because they do indeed fit so many who proclaim to be Christian.
Blest Be The Tie That Doesn't Cramp My Style
Pillow of Ages, Fluffed for Me
I Surrender Some
I'm Fairly Certain That My Redeemer Live
Sit Up, Sit Up For Jesus
Take My Life and Let Me Be
What An Acquaintance We Have In Jesus
Where He Leads Me, I Will Consider Following
He's Quite a Bit To Me
Oh, How I Like Jesus
Fill My Spoon, Lord
It Is My Secret What God Can Do

I wonder how the online churches do Communion.

I hope no one reveals this thread to the United Methodists. It may give them some ideas as to updating the church’s hymnal.
When the current hymnal was published in 1989, “patriarchal,” “sexist,” and “militarist” lyrics were already being frowned upon. For ecample, “God of Our Fathers” became “God of the Ages,” and “Good Christian Men Rejoice” is now “Good Christian Friends Rejoice.” Meanwhile, “This is My Father’s World” no longer contins the phrase, “the battle’s not yet won,” and “Eternal Father, Strong to Save,” a perennial favorite, is nowhere to be found.
Were I in charge, the new hymnal would include some of the great Methodist hymns of yesteryear, such as “Hold the Fort” (inspired by the Battle of Allatoona in 1864), William Sherwin’s “Sound the Battle Cry,” and Leila Morris’ “The Fight is On, Oh Christian Soldier” and “The Conflict of the Ages.”

Pillow of Ages, Fluffed for Me Speaking of pillows:
Oh, my loving brother, when the world's on fire,
Don't you want God's bosom to be your pillow?
Oh, hide me over in the rock of ages,
Rock of ages cleft for me.

I neglected to mention that there are provisions in place such that one can take Communion online. Instead of receiving wafers, one accepts cookies. ;)

Taking small bytes never crossed your mind? I suppose if there were an online Roman Catholic Church, "the host" might take on a different meaning.
On a somewhat serious note,
St. Pixel's offers services lasting anywhere from fifteen to thirty minute--you know, for those on the go.

I don't think this is what Anglican theologian J.I. Packer meant when encouraged teenagers/young adults to "link up to Jesus."
Fishers of men using the Net, indeed. ;)
