Hi ZC,
Quix appreciates this thread.
He’s unable to write to you himself at this time.
Blessings,
Joya

I miss him here on FR. He’s a bird of rare plumage and an asset to this website. I’m sure many agree.
Thanks for your kind words.

Hmmm. I'm a Torah believer: narrative in tension with law. But rather than millions treking through Sinai, it's more compelling to see Joshua and his army as Cannanites already in competion with other settlers therein.
This doesn't undermine Moses' acquisition of the Ten Comandments, though I suspect his actual Numbers of followers even then as small.
I rather suspect the Exodus narrative as more symbolic of this competition for monotheism in wave after wave of relatively small groups of traders, most likely, back and forth as Cannan's ideology became progressively more strained over Egypt's polytheistic outlook.
Very interesting overall.
God's grace....

The Torah was entirely written by G-d and all its details are true.

Which probably says more as to why I've not converted. Yet I still feel more in common with Orthodoxy than less.
Alas, I take it within the spirit of Israel which means, after all, to struggle with G-d, and will so stand before Him in that sense.
I certainly meant nor mean any offense to the caucus to which I'm flattered weekly to take part. I only meant to perhaps foster some dialogue, and give it a little more umph.
I'm sorry that I evidently failed in that vein, and apologize if in an any way I violated caucus policy.
Everything Good, always.

Nah, you didn't violate caucus policy. I'm just a fundie who was saved from the abyss by learning what fundies Orthodox Jews really are (shhhh . . . it's a big secret!), so it's kinda important to me.
And it really is the traditional understanding that G-d wrote every word of the Torah and then dictated it to Moses.

I’ll assume quix is in the FR outer darkness and watching, so I would like to send my best wishes.
