They're accusations made by one alleged victim, but investigators say they're positive there are more. Pastor Lawrence Smith has three different sex charges pending against him. We caught up with Smith, Friday, shortly after he was released from jail. Lawrence Smith, Pastor, Free Indeed Holiness Church: "People are looking to take me and condemn me, and so I can't help that."

Larence Smith, 69, has been the pastor at Free Indeed Holiness Church for nearly 35 years. Thursday, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office arrested Smith on three different sex charges...some dating back to 1990. Lt. Michael Frank, Aiken County Sheriff's Office: "We know of at least a dozen victims, including the one that came to us." Friday, we caught up with Pastor Smith after he was released from the Aiken County Detention Center. He claims the allegations brought against him aren't true.

Pastor Smith: "Oh, I feel betrayed, Jesus was betrayed. He's still being betrayed, so it ain't nothing new...ain't a thing. Now, and it's going to get worse and worse." According to investigators, Smith sexually assaulted more than a dozen victims between December of 1990 and December of 1995. They say the assaults took place at Smith's Bradleyville Road home, and another home on the same road. Smith told us he's not surprised that this is happening to him, and that by his faith, he's prepared for what lies ahead. Pastor Smith: "He says your trouble starts at home. He says they're going to cast your name out for evil. You're going to be persecuted from city to city. He says they're going to do all amounts of evil against you."

Even though some of the cases are nearly two decades old, investigators say they'll work extra hard to see that justice is served. Lt. Frank: "Perhaps more people will come forward, for those who have not cooperated up until this point, will have a change of heart and come forward, so we can have additional charges against Mr. Smith." Smith is being charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct With a Minor in the Second Degree, Lewd Act Upon a Child, and Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature. He is facing 3 counts on each charge. Investigators say he could face more charges, as more victims come forward. Smith posted a $90,000 bond.

Pastor Smith: "Oh, I feel betrayed, Jesus was betrayed. . . He says your trouble starts at home. He says they're going to cast your name out for evil. You're going to be persecuted from city to city. He says they're going to do all amounts of evil against you."

If he really did this, he's a pervert and a scoundrel. If he now tries to deflect criticism by quoting Scripture and comparing his situation to Christ's persecution, then he's an almost unspeakably abominable blasphemer.

Free Indeed Holiness Church

Sounds like a snake handler to me...

I’ve looked at a number of these posts...they appear to be some kind of crusade...but I notice that you don’t respond to people who post to you.

What is that all about?

This is only about 2 miles from where I'm at, right across the Savannah River, but I never knew about it.

It's a smallish church.............about 100-150 members.

I find it disturbing how easily these pastors can lie when they get caught.

I remember when I was a kid going to FL on vacation and going over a very-high bride in Savanna, GA. I guess there was another break in the route on I 95,

You wouldn’t know about the issue because it wasn’t a catholic priest who did the act. The article was probably buried somewhere. The MSM has it in for the RCC.
