In the Vatican II document Nostra Aetate (NA), Declaration On The Relation Of The Church To Non-Christian Religions, birthed from apostate Roman Catholicism we can trace the very rotten root of The Ecumenical Church Of Deceit (ECoD) of postevangelicalism. And this document also spawned the current apostasy festering within evangelicalism as well.
For you see it was NA that would open the door for Trappist monk Thomas Merton, one of most highly prized Golden Buddhas of Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism, to openly pursue his own antibiblical interspiritual dialogues. As we point out below he wasnt alone and, just as previously shown in the Apprising Ministries piece Doug Pagitt, Rob Bell, Dalai Lama and the Interspiritual Seeds of Compassion Event, this lunacy in the Lords Name is ongoing still.
...these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces.(Ezekiel 14:3).

REAL conservatives don’t engage in this type of bigotry.
What an ugly article. Real Christians work out their own salvation with trembling and fear, and have no need nor inclination to point guilty fingers at others.
Methinks some time in the Confessional is in order.
Wow, do you subscribe to some special service that sends you anti-Catholic filth on a daily basis?
I read a lot of Christian sites that point out the filth that passes for Christianity without regard as to who embraces it. This article is a good example, taking Rick Warren and other Protestants to task.
Real conservatives embrace the truth and are not afraid to point out lies and deception.
Methinks confessionals are another scripture-twisting ritual any Biblically sound saint would avoid.
Really? Source?
You're too reserved.
Add the Holocaust, AIDS, the Second World War, the Cold War, the Oil Crisis and Dutch Elm disease.
Did I miss anything?
I suppose Rome is partly at fault. If it weren’t for the their push back towards orthodoxy, then all those “Catholics” who wanted to make the Roman Church into something it shouldn’t be might not have swum the Channel and helped screw up Anglicanism.
Some of the most extreme liberal clerics I have come across in the Episcopal Church were “Catholics” (to use the term very loosely) who gravitated towards ECUSA after Paul6 put the breaks on Vatican 2 and JP2 began reigning in liberation theology.
Unlike Eastern Orthodoxy, Anglicanism did not have and does not have a viable tradition of doctrinal enforcement.

Confess your faults one to another.
But you only post the ones that blame the Church for the long-foretold disaster of Protestantism?
No good can come from this ...
Then read what the Catholic Church really teaches....and read it all in context at the source.
Practice what you “preach.”
Here are a few beginnings for you:

Lol! ;-)

Honestly...where do they get this stuff? Can you imagine if one of us posted a theory that Protestantism is to blame for a variety of the social ills we face today?
There was a time when FR didn’t allow this type of post — I don’t know when or why the policy changed. :(
Love the pic!! ;-)
Where do they get this stuff? All I can say is that Screwtape is very busy these days.
Enjoy.
Did you miss this one, Manfred?
John 20:21-23
Did you know that rabies is a form of encephalitis that causes anxiety, irrational fear, foaming at the mouth and later, hallucinations and wild agitations?
> John 20:21-23
...and James 5:16
Ah, the Epistle of Straw.
;O)
> Methinks confessionals are another scripture-twisting ritual any Biblically sound saint would avoid.
And methinks confessionals are the very place every scripture-twisting Biblically-errant wicked sinner wants to avoid.
Confess your faults one to another. Don’t leave it for one moment longer! You *know* you want to do it!
Come to Jesus, brother. Be ye cleansed!
I also enjoyed reading *Ken Silva: Poop is Emergent Too*

Ahhh...the legalism of those with grudges... dressed up as ministers.
I never got the memo. Just exactly when did we fall into apostasy? I’m always the last to know.
It's not all that different from when Hitler tried to blame the Jews for everything.
> Ah, the Epistle of Straw.
(grin!) Just making hay while the sun shines...
Yep. They leave the Church, splinter off into thousands of different groups (the splintering started within decades I might add) and then half a millennium they start realizing how screwed up they are and they go right back to blaming the Church.
It’s like watching the “Prodigal Son” with an “alternate ending.”
PING for your amusement.
What a pity the Inquisition doesn’t burn heretics at the stake anymore.
You said: Did you know that rabies is a form of encephalitis that causes anxiety, irrational fear, foaming at the mouth and later, hallucinations and wild agitations?
Is that a sacrament in protestant exegesis? They seem to partake rather enthusiastically.
Just exactly when did we fall into apostasy?Sometime during the 1st Century.
And while we’re at it, let’s all go to the Jack Chick website and read how the Roman Catholic Church was responsible for the rise of Muhammad and the spread of Islam!
(Among Catholic-haters, I’ve known some real hayseeds.)
Do you suppose it has something to do with the "keys of the kingdom"?
The chances of that being read and understood by those who have partaken in the sacrament of rabies is around nil to nonexistent.
Usually it springs from pure ignorance and some buried (or not)psychological anger. The original poster, Dwag, has spread a lot of the same type of puppy poop here on FreeRepublic, from what I’ve been able to see so far.
By the way elcid is a GREAT name. ;-)
Big’Ol freeper....I very much appreciate and will read and study the article that Sanyeggo posted...I am not a Catholic....but for some time, I have been considering studying to become a Catholic, so any conversion stories, are of importance to me....I also read the conversion stories, of Catholics, who leave the Catholic church...I read what they say, try to understand, compare the various different stories....I am seeking to inform myself, so articles such as these, provide a wealth of information...
Both types of these articles are very important to me, and who knows how many others, who may be merely lurking....so I am sure I am not the only one grateful for Sandyeggo’s post....
Through witnesses such as these, God may work to lead some of us, in paths we never expected...
Wow! I thought I just had epilepsy! I need to find a dog to bite!
Don't you mean "to a priest"?
Oh, wait.
I once chatted with Ken Silva after he was attacked by someone who thought he was soft on Catholics. You read that correctly. There are Protestants out there so filled with hatred that they think Ken Silva is not nasty enough against Catholics. We had a nice chat, accomplished nothing, but I learned just how sick the whole anti-Catholic cause is (if I didn’t know it already).
You show your true colors, but it's the Protestants who get called "rabid," etc.
Thanks for admitting we were there in the 1st century. So much for that nonsense about being founded by Constantine.
Well there you have it! May the Holy Spirit guide you on your journey home.
I was not referring to the average Christian who maintains a heart of decency and charity. I was referring to those who seem to be rabid in their hatred of the Catholic Church. They, hopefully, are few, but it is they who I meant would never read what was posted because they are too attached to their bigotry and hatred.
What “IS” a christian?..
