Yes, the sad little cracker has met its undignified end, so stop pestering me. The cracker, the koran, and another surprise entry have been violated and are gone. You'll have to wait until tomorrow for the details, what little of them there are. I must quickly apologize to all you good Catholics who were hoping to attend Mass, since you can't anymore I have been told many hundreds of times now that cracker abuse violates your right to practice your religion. I guess you'll have to adapt. Secular humanism is a good alternative, if you aren't already flocking to join the Mormons.
Anyway, I've got important things to do today. It's my oldest son's birthday, and I told him that as a gift to me him, I'd take myself him to see The Dark Knight. I sure hope the world doesn't end before the movie does

PING. Please PING the Catholic List.
As a Catholic I am concerned far more for his soul than I am the indestructible body of Christ.
They will if there are any real men who are Catholic living in his area!
What are you advocating, some sort of mob violence?
What a sad man, this Myers person is....
How horrible it must be to live every day consumed with such hatred..
People usually run from OR attack what they fear. His attack is intense.
I wonder why he fears God so deeply ....
It wouldn’t take a mob. If he lived in my town he’d need a surgeon to get my size 12 out of his ass. I’ll let others pray for him.
I think you have that wrong friend. I don’t think he fears God at all. But he will, and I hope it’s before they put him under the grass.
And then you’d need a lawyer to get your ass out of jail. Very Christian sentiments from you.
I’d have the wherewithal to hire a lawyer. It would be worth it. Your approval is of no concern to me.
So this vile bigot gets to SAY and DO whatever he wants!!?
What if I just hurled a glass of water in his face and dared him to respond?
OK with you?
;^)
My approval or Christ's, apparently, judging from the contrast between your comments and the attitude He taught us to take towards enemies and persecutors.
Sadly, my tax dollars pay this intellectual child’s salary.
Unless he violates some law in doing so, yes. That's kind of how things work here in the United States.
If you really want to thwart his aims, you'd be better off simply ignoring his antics. And hey, at least he apparently desecrated a Koran, too.
I would guess you’re attitude isn’t as docile towards the Islamofasicst persecutors of Christians.
Myers has violated the Canon Law of the Catholic Church concerning the sanctity of the Holy Eucharist.
I’ll substitute a cream pie for the glass of water, and await his response.
Cream pies are freedom of expression. Ask any conservative who spoke at a major university.
Don’t preach to me. Jesus didn’t whine and wring his hands when He saw the money changers in His Father’s Temple...he whipped and berated them and drove them from the Temple. I have the same attittude about anyone who would desecrate the Body of Christ and I make no apologies. I’ve handled this situation in the past and I’ll do it again if I ever witness someone trying to leave the church with a consecrated Host.
No, Myers is a visual manifestation of the inherent anti-Catholicism of the rabid Left. They have been that way since 1789.
I'm sorry, I should have specified that I was referring to the duly enacted laws of our democratic state, local, and federal governments. Otherwise, you know, we set a precedent for some Muslim killing his teenage daughter because she didn't want to marry the guy he fixed her up with and claiming Sharia law as his protection. Understandable mistake on your part.
"Ill substitute a cream pie for the glass of water, and await his response. Cream pies are freedom of expression. Ask any conservative who spoke at a major university."
Well, that's probably pretty harmless, though not really any more productive than what Myers did.
You, my friend, are not Jesus, and would do well to take note of the numerous instances of Him explicitly instructing His followers not to use violence in defending Him or their faith.
The blog comments are vile. This one represents the mindset:
This is why I think all religious people, no matter how moderate they think they are, deserve nothing but contempt.
You handle things your way and I’ll handle things as I see fit. And simply for your edification I never claimed to be Jesus. Not by a long shot. I’m just another sinner.
No, you only implicitly claimed authority equal to His.
Has Professor Myers engaged in a hate crime?
-Theo
Are you finished yet?
If conservatives are going to stand against the thought-policing idiocy of "hate crimes" legislation, we can't use it when it suits us.
I dunno. Are the board’s RCs done with their macho internet tough guy posturing?
No it didn’t. Don’t twist my words. I was very clear in what I said. I’m sorry if you lack the ability to understand simple declaritive sentences. My guess is that you’re not Catholic, are you?
You don’t have a dog in this fight, so why don’t you drop it?
I dunno. Are you done with your self-righteousness?
"My guess is that youre not Catholic, are you?"
That guess isn't a leap if you've read any of my posting history. No, I'm not. Perhaps you think if I was I would be calling for pitchforks and torches in response to this sad, egotistical, lost man as well. Perhaps so. There but for the grace of God...
Huh. I wonder if CAIR knows that this college professor at the University of Minnesota Morris is bragging about desecrating the Koran?
It’d be a shame if they found out. This poor professor might find himself in a government-endorsed star chamber.
But I’m sure he’s not worried about it. He is a biologist, after all.
APf
So, would you suggest we stop cross-burnings, noose-hangings, and church and synagogue vandalism? A fine and restitution?
I disagree that hate-crime legislation is “idiocy” as you so describe it; I say it cuts both ways; I say we use it.
-Theo
P.S.
Your name sounds familiar. Were you in the Fidonet Echoes at one time?
I'm going to waste no words knocking down your straw man.

I hate to disappoint you but I've got better things to do with my time than research your posting history!
Ping.
Oh, but I do: my dog in this fight is the sanctification of other Christians through imitation of Christ's humility in the face of persecution...the reputation of the name of Christ and His followers (some of us already take enough crap from unbelievers because of stuff the RCC has done)...
...and, believe it or not, the foiling of Mr. Myers' crude plea for attention, though it's probably already too late for that. Because, you see, all of this anger, all of these posts, all of the e-mails and blog comments he's received berating him, those are EXACTLY what he wants.
Not only sanctimonious but melodramatic too. You're quite the well rounded guy. I think we should probably let this drop, I seriously doubt we're going to change each other's minds.
Is that it? At least the last time someone tried to make a Scriptural case for the use of violence in this situation.
cracker abuse violates your right to practice your religion. I
What thee he__ does THAT mean???????????????????????
Where did I advocate violence?
I don't think so. Unless you believe the consecrated Host is Christ present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, you do NOT have a dog in this fight.
Your statement tells me more about your concern for human respect than concern for the Body of Christ.
Because, you see, all of this anger, all of these posts, all of the e-mails and blog comments he's received berating him, those are EXACTLY what he wants.
How about when he comes for your denomination you do it your way, and we won't tell you what to do?
Why is everyone bothering about it? He’s an idiot. Let him do what he wants..it won’t affect my faith nor yours. He’s here today gone tomorrow with his pitiful 15 minutes of fame. That’s it!!!
I don't "know" you, but I'm curious . . .
No, I'm not.[Catholic]
Why are you commenting on this thread? What concern is this of yours? Do you find the concern of Catholics for one of their sacred rites amusing?
Just wondering . . .
All actions which cause direct harm to people and their property, well within the Biblical charge to rulers to punish evil and protect their citizens.
"I disagree that hate-crime legislation is 'idiocy' as you so describe it; I say it cuts both ways; I say we use it."
My mistake in assuming the average poster on a conservative forum would be opposed to hate-crimes legislation. In my book, it's nothing more than an attempt to police thought and protect certain classes of people.
"Your name sounds familiar. Were you in the Fidonet Echoes at one time?"
Nope, I don't even know what that is.
You haven't, that I've seen, but some of the other RCs in this thread (and previous ones) are.
I completely disagree. By using it (or attempting to) "when it suits us," we make perfectly plain the inherent hypocrisy that's involved. The best way to stand against that "thought-policing idiocy" is precisely to demand that it be applied equally.
No, but I do find angry fulminating and empty threats that play directly into this guy's hands very depressing.
I have other things to do, folks. I've said my piece. I'll leave you to go on talking about curb-stomping Mr. Myers now.
Exactly. Poor guy, he must be miserable, I’m glad I’m not his son.
