The racism of Black Liberation Theology

In recent days, Black Liberation Theology has risen to the forefront of our national debate. With the publicity surrounding Barack Obama’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and the inflammatory rhetoric with which he speaks, many have come to question the basis for the beliefs of this system.

While other may comment on the political manifestations of Black Liberation Theology, i would like to post some unrefined thought on what i see is the underlying theological foundation.

While racism is unBiblical and is to to be abhorred, Black Liberation Theology is the result of having eaten the fruit of lies" (Hos. 10:13), and it's source is no other than the old serpent himself. If we read Gn. 3 carefully, we can see that what the devil sought to do was to foster a victim and entitlement mentality, that Eve was the victim of a uncaring and malevolent moral authority, and thus she was enticed into doing something that seemed to promise gain but in reality would be deleterious to both her (as God had made clear) and that under her influence.

Though unlike Eve, blacks have suffered unjustly, yet much of the culture has been deceived (much by liberal politicians) into accepting a victim and entitlement mentality, in which "garden" out of which a welfare mentality has grown. To their own hurt.

This by no means belittles injustices realized by real victims, but resentment and it's root of bitterness is destructive and contagious.

Israel of old manifested, by their often whining, and rebellion and attribution of malevolent motives to Moses and even God, that they had developed much of a victim mentality in their years of bondage. But which almighty God did not foster, but while He had compassion on them and wrought mighty deliverance and supernatural providence, and gave them an unselfish great leader, yet He disciplined them, sometimes severely (after much long suffering) as needed, and made it manifest that obedience to His commandments was the way to blessing and progress, and not by whining or anarchy.

But the contrary stirring up of resentment and the fostering of a victim mentality and deletrious rebellion is nothing new. Communism depended upon the same. The liberal est. overall fosters such, and depends upon converting others in order to increase their tribe. They basically hold that rebellion against God and His laws are the way to freedom, and that most all who are restrained or punished by such laws are victims (most felons) of an evil moral authority. Instead, they foster the delusion of a paradise where laws regarding sexual behavior, etc., are unneeded, nor should hard work and responsibility - and accountability to transcendent moral absolutes. But as in Communism, the result of this rebellion will not be that of freedom, but of bondage, not that of paradise, but the opposite.

I always wondered where Jesse and Al got their "I'm-a-victim" sales pitch. What a convenient way to abdicate all responsibilities for your own actions and simply blame everything on whitey. Whatta crock...

They were descendants of the oppressors, and as members of the elite class structure of society, actively oppress people of color to this day."

For 20 years BHO sa under the teachings of Jeremiah Wright:

And on the political side i wonder why the question of how Obama could belong to a church for 20 years and be “deaf” to the incredibly racist preaching of Wright was not addressed at the GNC.

Let’s see, Obama’s mentor in college was a rabid communist, his pastor was an anti-white racist, and the people who helped launched Obama into politics were admitted terrorists. Either Obama is completely blind or he is a racist, terrorist-supporting commie.

(emphasis added). At times such speech seems unpalatable, but the value of free debate overcomes the danger of misuse. McIntyre, 514 U.S. at 357. For even false statements make valuable contributions to debate by bringing about “the clearer and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error.”
