First, making a supermassive object is the opposite of what this machine does. Second, if one we're simply to encounter a blackhole, or one were suddenly placed at the center of Earth, having the mass of the Earth, it would be about the 100 meters in diameter. Let's just say, for the sake of discussion that a blackhole, having mass sufficient to prevent all but x-rays and lie like of high-energy Gamma Rays, GCR's, etc., were suddenly to appear in the center of Earth. If it were the mass of the Earth, Gravity would double. If it were massive enough to start swallowing Earth, and were here at the surface were below the Event Horizon, the collapse would be at superluminal speeds, relativistic speeds. If you were watching from Mars, it would all be over in a flash. Poof!

But here on Earth, as we accelerated toward close to the speed of light, space-time would warp and it would take an eternity to finally reach the point where the molecules and atom and sub-atomic particles would be torn to shreds and spread like a wave of energy over the surface of the object, along with the rest of Earth.

No, what you're looking for in the prophesy sounds more like a latter day Imbrium-Class impact, "something like a mountain fell into the sea," etc. "Wormwood."

That sound very much like a garden variety asteroid, perhaps stirred out of equilibrium by a near encounter of the solar system with a blackhole, like the event some think happened perhaps 3.8 billion years ago when gas giants shuffled around and may have stirred up and recorded as a spike in a 4.527 billion year gradual fall off of asteroid impacts recorded on the Moon, and perhaps in the Pacific Basin, and elsewhere, including Mars.

Perhaps you should keep a watch on the listings of NEOs, mostly "Apollo-Class" stoney asteroids that regularly are zipping near Earth, at the bottom of http://www.spaceweather.com.

While there, examine our strangely quiet spot-free Sun, not six month past the latest "conservative" estimates of what all but a handful of scientists said would be the sharp up-tick in "Cycle 24."

The Universe God made is far more hazardous a place to sail through than anything man can cook up, yet.

My question to you would be, if the answer is yes, do you think we should try to stop the fulfillment of Bible prophecy? If so, what is the Bible evidence that this interference is what God would want us to do?

I think about Hezekiah. in the 18 to 20th chapters, God tells us that Hezekiah laid his concerns over the enemy of Israel in front of the Lord, and asked God to save the country from the King of Assyria. God said, “Because you have prayed to Me against the king of Assyria, I have heard”....and God destroyed the Assyrian king and saved Israel from invasion. Then God told Hezekiah that he was going to die. Since it hadn't happened yet, this is a prophecy, is it not? Hezekiah again prayed and asked that he not die. God said that because he had prayed and asked, Hezekiah indeed would not die, but live! And he did.

Next Babylonians came to tour the country, and the palace. Isaiah told him that God had said that the Babylonians would take over Israel, and tear down all the buildings and haul away the people as eunuch's and slaves. Hezekiah said, “Oh, well at least in my lifetime this won't happen, so, okay!”....He did not pray that God save Israel, but just accepted it. And it certainly did happen just as God said it would.

God told Abraham about the destruction of Sodom. Abraham asked him to please not destroy the city if there were but 10 godly people. Because Abraham was his friend, God saved Abraham's adopted son, Lot, which is really what Abraham was concerned with.

We need to be God's friend. That is really all He wants!

Lesson, I think, is that we must pray to the Lord, and ask him not to allow these things to come to pass. We must pray and ask God to save our nation from Marxism, from Obama and immoral leaders. We must ask for deliverance from our enemies. We must ask the Lord, or these things will surely happen. Will we say, “well at least in my lifetime, they won't...whew!?”

Our Lord in Heaven will be the One and Only to decide what the final day and hour will be. He and only He will be the One who will bring about the Prophecy and thus the end of this world as we know it. It will not be done by man. It will be done by His Will.

They will not be creating a “black hole”. They will be throwing particles at other particles with a lot of energy, and they will look to see what happens. Undoubtedly there will be a “new” particle that they will announce to the world. They will not answer any questions about the Universe, creation, or the “big bang”.

This is not even close to the scenario which is worrisome.

The "bad" scenario is that somehow a stable black hole is formed. Trapped by earth's gravity, it moves back & forth with in the earth, eating it from within. The mass of the earth-black hole combination does not increase at all, as the black hole becomes more massive, the earth becomes less massive. Gravity does not double.

Hello,

This is Marshall Beeber, director of the “Messianic Literary Corner”. You were so kind to post my article “Scientific Scenario Of A Comet’s Impact And The Wormwood Star Prophecy”, I thought I would help you a bit by posting the entire article on this blog. You can of course go to http://www.messianic-literary.com/comet.htm to read the original.

See below:

Scientific Scenario Of A Comet’s Impact With Earth And The “Wormwood Star” Prophecy

by Marshall Beeber

An Introduction

In the First Century AD, the Apostle John wrote an apocalyptic book called “Revelation” in which he described among many “end-time” events the collision of a star called Wormwood with Earth. Revelation states:

Rev. 8:10-11: The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

Wormwood is a botanical herb commonly known for its bitterness. See Botanical.com. It was used a pesticide, medicinal tonic and liqueur ingredient. The term “wormwood” was often used to describe “extreme bitterness”.

Let us consider the possibility of a “star” turning the waters bitter on Earth. The term “star” in classical terminology lacks the modern astronomical sense. It could have been referring to a comet, asteroid, “sun-like” star or planet. Since the possibility of a planet or sun colliding with earth is infinitesimal, we will eliminate this possibility.

A Scientific Explanation For The Wormwood Star

The Wormwood prophecy cites a “great star, blazing like a torch”. Comets are well known for their blazing tails, due to ionization of their gases by the Sun. Either an asteroid or comet could manifest a blazing tail on their entry into Earth’s atmosphere. With respect to a comet’s impact with a planet, astronomers have recently tracked the collision of the “Shoemaker-Levy 9” comet with the planet Jupiter and were able to confirm many of their theories.

Various scientific scenarios have been theorized on the effects of an asteroid or comet’s collision with Earth. An applicable scenario theorizes a chemical change in the atmosphere due to “heat shock” during entry and/or impact of a large asteroid or comet, reacting Oxygen and Nitrogen in the atmosphere to produce Nitric Acid rain. The bitterness produced by the Wormwood Star upon a third of the Earth’s potable waters could be the Biblical prediction of “acid rain” from the “heat shock” of a large comet or asteroid’s impact with Earth.

The Hooper Natural Science Museum in Ottawa, Canada cites a scientific theory that postulates “atmospheric chemical changes” from the impact of an asteroid or comet with the Earth. See the statement below:

When an asteroid enters earth’s atmosphere there are two occurrences of extreme shock. The first occurs as the asteroid enters the atmosphere. The second, more important one, occurs when the ejecta plume (the ejected debris caused by an impact) enters the atmosphere (Zahnle, 1990). This shock causes the breakdown of the oxygen (O2) and the nitrogen (N2) molecules found in our atmosphere. Through a series of chemical reactions the dissociation of the nitrogen and oxygen forms NO which is then converted into NO2. These two molecules can produce acid rain (HNO3) (Prinn and Fegley, 1987). In 1987 Prinn and Fegley determined the atmospheric consequences of a “large” comet impact versus a “small” comet impact. They assumed the “large” impact comet had a mass of 1.25 x 1016 Kg traveling at a velocity of 65 Km/s. As for the “small” impact asteroid, they assumed it had a mass of 5 x 1014 Kg traveling at a velocity of 20 Km/s. It is important to note that these two objects are possible bolides that hit the earth 65 million years ago.

Conclusions of the Large Impact Scenario

If the comet scenario occurred, 7 x 1040 molecules of NO would have been produced and subsequently converted into acid rain. (See chemical reactions) This would have caused a global dispersal of acid rain with a pH of 0-1.5. On the continents the acid rain would have weathered the soil removing many of the insoluble elements ( for e.g. Be+2, Al+3, Hg+2, Cu+, Fe+2, Fe+3, Ti+3, Pb+2, Cd+2, Mn+2, Sr+2). These elements would end up in soil water, streams, rivers, lakes, etc., causing a problem as some of these elements are known for their toxicity towards plants and animals (e.g. Al, Be, Ti, Hg). As for the oceans, the global acid rain would lower the pH of the mixed layer (the top 75 M of the ocean) to a pH of 7.8, breaking down the calcareous shells of organisms that thrive in the mixing zone.

Conclusions of the Small Impact Scenario

If the “small” asteroid scenario were to occur, the amount of acid rain produced would be similar to the “large” comet scenario but only near the impact site. The global pH change would be rather insignificant.

Above statement is referred to Reference Link #4 (Hooper Museum Website)

Conclusion

In conclusion, the scientific scenario theorizing “acid rain” following a large comet or asteroid impact with Earth is the best explanation for the “Wormwood Star” prophecy existing today. Such information enhances the credibility of the “Wormwood Star” prophecy and New Testament writings with scientific theory.

Thank you for post number 5. I hope you're right about "making a supermassive object is the opposite of what this machine does".

Second.... Well, man has been wrong before about what he thought his machines would do. If the Large Hadron Collider did create a small black hole, and it started consuming the earth,

My thought on this is ... wondering at what point of the black hole's consumption of the earth would it become far enough away from the earth's material to place it beyond the "event horizon"?

And ...

Or is this totally illogical?

I'm just trying to conceive how these Bible prophesies might be made to come to pass.

The entire notion of mini (or micro) blackholes is fascinating.

Presumably scientists have looked at various scenarios but unless the black hole has a very short lifetime there’s no reason why it wouldn’t keep capturing matter into it’s gravitational field.

But would it stay in orbit around the sun close to the earth while the earth orbits the sun?

BTW, the big bounce is based on a model of the universe where after the end of the universe while it shrinks to a single point in space-time it would then expand out again (bounce).

I think Gamma rays hitting particles in the upper atmosphere are more energetic. How come no black hole ever came out of such a collision?

The difference is that in the collider events can be isolated in a controlled manner, and so studied in the lab.
