Non-Denominational Devotional/Prayer
For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established at Freerepublic, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern."

He has promised to be in our midst tonight as we gather wherever we may be, as a voice in one accord, to praise Him and ask on behalf of others for His Grace to be granted to them.

Tonight’s gathering for prayer is going to be dedicated to speaking as one in beseeching our Lord to confuse the lying enemies of the American Republic, to confound the efforts of these lying enemies within the nation who are seeking to indenture the American people to the debt being posed falsely as ‘the only way' to save the nation’s financial future, and to bless opposition congressional representatives and Governor Sarah Palin with the divine wisdom need to squelch lies coming from the evil one now speaking through too many elected representatives.

This thread may be the last prayer gathering thread due to lack of participation. I pray we will have a large gathering tonight wherever you may be, for our Lord has promised to be in our midst when we meet in His name.

Dear MHG and All,

Thanks so much to all who prayed for me, my brother, his friend and precious children. They arrived safely back from NJ to VA Monday afternoon after having packed up what of their belongings could be fit in the bed of my brother’s work truck.

I believe. I believe God hears our prayers and kept them safely on the road due to prayers of many.

Plans change from minute to minute, but hopefully I’ll see them Friday night or Saturday. I can’t wait to hug and hold those dear children! Even though I’m not their natural mother, I’m the temporary mother-fill-in God has chosen to provide them and it’s no small blessing. Our whole family has gathered ‘round to take them in and excited about their coming to be with us for a while.

My Mom had already been busy about a baby bed and some strollers and my daughter’s asking how much a 3-year old can be taught. What a joy!

The father of the children may THINK we are helping him. Oh, no. He is giving us — never met, and sight unseen — trust with his most beloved, and we keep praying for guidance.

I came back to this thread to give a huge THANKS and also to write down those in need of prayers. Shouldn’t stop on Sunday since God has given us the ability to pray always.

Will ping you tomorrow afternoon. I’m hoping to ‘gather’ a few to pray for an hour before the debate and right straight through until it’s over. There is a formal scheduled prayer group, maybe in one of the denominational lists.

I will still be at work when the debate starts, but will be praying for her throughout the day and evening. I should get home about half-way through the debate.

I have friends here in town who are planning on praying. We need lots of intercessory prayer going up for her.

Yes, will be posting a gathering thread toworrow about five, to gather an hour before the debate(at 8PM eastern; debate starts at 9PM) and pray right through to the end of the debate and soin cycles.

I'm afraid I can't join y'all in that prayer, I'm praying for God to smite Gwen with a temporary delusion that she's back in high school and 0bama is the quarterback of the football team, and that she'll jump up in front of the cameras with a pair of pom-poms, and start shouting:

"0bama! 0bama! He be the Man,
if 0BAMA can't save us, NOBODY can!!!
Gooooooo OBAMA! YEA!!!!!!!!"

Followed by:

"Palin's a witch, Joe Biden is cool,
Vote DEMOCRAT, or I pity you fools!"

Now tell me you fine folks didn't at least snicker. ;)

I have never seen such a tidal wave of deceit (old ugly’s calling card) and evil, directed at defeating all that is good and right (ok, not since nearly 2000 years ago).

That's what's making the end times scenario look more and more probable each day.

The way people just seem to be worshipping the guy and his chin up/ slight frown on his face attitude as if he thinks he's portraying himself as worthy of the adoration.

I guess he never learned from Herod....

Thanks! I think my main purpose in saying what I did was to remind everyone that though I don’t post when most of you do (due to CFIDS) I do pray for the very things everyone else is praying for. I would LIKE to be able to stay up and be coherent, but... :o])

Will be there but in the mean time, I ask the Lord God Almighty to lift up the prayer warriors on FR, I call out to the Lord for those who pray intercessory prayers, I ask the Lord to bring out those who can weep in the spirit in prayer for this country.
I ask forgiveness for this country dear Lord, I call out and ask for compassion and another opportunity to return her to what she once was. I beg do not forsake us.

That’s what my husband just said to me not an hour ago - that he is starting to see parallels such that he is starting to suspect that Obama is the antichrist. It is truly a scary thought, and I hope that he isn’t, and that he will merely be defeated and sent back to mediocracy despite old ugly’s best efforts. Praying...
