Billionaire investor George Soros is bankrolling liberal Catholic groups that support abortion.

An investigation by the New York-based Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights finds that George Soros' Open Society Institute gave Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good $50,000 in 2005 and $100,000 in 2006.

“Catholic” in quotes is exactly right. They attempt to subvert the Catholic Faith from the inside ....and over 50 bishops have made it CLEAR that to support the VERY pro-abortion candidate in this election is to put your soul in GRAVE jeopardy.

Well, shock of shocks. I'm glad somebody found this information. I went looking for it a few years ago and couldn't confirm it one way or another. I didn't look at the 990’s. Hmmm. Project.

Yep. What better way to destroy the church than to fund groups that say they are Catholic and then espouse ideals completely contrary to church teaching, thus undermining the authority of the church when the flock gets confused. Or more commonly referred to as "divide and conquer."

The are NOT Catholic oraganizations and have been denounced by Catholic Bishops. They are Soros funded groups who pretend to be Catholics.

Why are pro-abortion Catholic groups allowed within the church? Shouldn’t the church sever ties with these groups, and shouldn’t their leaders be ex-communicated?

After 45 Million abortions since Roe v Wade I thinks its time these people are excommunicated. They should’nt be allowed to linger out there causing grave harm to the Church and our country.

It has to be said the Bishops are coming our swinging right now. Some people are saying its starting to effect the election. You can check this out here:

Good news that the Bishops are speaking out. Obama has been one of the worst pro-abortion candidates in a long time. We need all the resistance on this issue as we can get.

I’m a protestant seriously considering a conversion to Catholicism. I don’t understand this. How can Catholics be in favor of abortion? What is their reasoning?

I hope these people don't dissuade you!!

God wants us to accept the truth with THE FREE WILL He gave us, that's what pleases Him!

I know its difficult, but the wheat and the weeds have to grow together until Judgement Day.

The Catholics who support abortion are what we call cafeteria Catholics. They pick and choose what they want (according to their own will and not following the directions of the Catholic Church.)

If they want to go to the coast on Sunday — they do it.
If they want to contracept — they do it.
If they want to ignore their Bishop and their pastor who is supporting for life — they ignore it.
If the church asks them to attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation — they ignore it.

They think that their WILL is wiser than God’s will. Amazingly they will be quite surprised at God’s judgment on the last day!

It’s just like going through a cafeteria and only picking up the foods you want.

Cafeteria Catholics or CINOs — Catholics in Name Only. (Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, Biden also come to mind.) But they are out there in our parishes too.

I get quite perturbed sometimes and have to remind myself that I can offer brotherly advice, but I am not responsible for their soul.

Let me know if any of this makes sense, OK?
