Atheism is not a faith based belief. It simply states that God does not exist. Furthermore, there’s nothing to prove when faith (or Faith) is involved - one does not prove or disprove faith.

It’s wrong to say that atheism is the assertion of a universal negative when atheism is essentially nothing. A satanist, on the other, would better qualify for the assertion. That said, I doubt atheists exist.

The only way to make an assertion that there is no God or god would be to take a leap of faith.

Faith is arriving at a belief without evidence.

Atheism makes a positive assertion, there are no gods and there is no God. Agnosticism is a neutral position, which does not rely on any form of faith. Agnosticism basically says that one has insufficient evidence to take a position either way.
