Please reflect on this simple fact: You don’t know anything about these people except what you read in the papers.
Indeed. There are lots of former Catholics who have joined these churches for various reasons, including the vapid liberalism of many faithless priests whose tinkering with the liturgy and explaining away of dogma eroded the faith of many honest people and caused them to flee to churches that offered them some security of heart. What we see happening to the Episcopal Church might have happened to the Catholic Church but for the grace of God which has brought us thirty years of strong papal leadership.
My point about the crack whores is that they don't let the babies they give birth to interfere with their lifestyle either, and that's why they don't care whether the babies are damaged by the drugs or have DS or any other disability. They rarely abort for any reason, and that's not evidence that they "value" the lives of their babies. Regardless of whether their baby is normal or disabled, they'll keep right on smoking crack, sleeping with crack dealers, and leaving their helpless little children in filthy homes with no food and the violent boyfriend-of-the-week. And already having one or two or three babies that they can't/won't care for decently, doesn't strike them as any reason to avoid having more -- they won't stop sleeping around and won't bother to use contraceptives.
Getting pregnant prior to marriage is not such a bad thing at all. Valuing life must begin at the beginning, and it seems that Palin understands that. The fact that her teenage daughter chose to marry and give birth to her baby tells me that Palin has succeeded as a mother; her daughter knows the right decision to make regarding life, regardless of the criticism she has received. That takes courage and integrity.
Palin may not be a saint, but it is clear that she is doing something very right.
Sarah has many admirable qualities, and I’d be happy to support her run for office again. But what most of what you’ve written is true - it seems like maybe her two eldest were lacking in parental attention.
I think most people on this site would be horrified if a liberal woman’s kids were involved in such circumstances. But since it’s St. Sarah, we’re supposed to overlook any of her possible lapses in judgment.
Next time you decide to repeat your Keith Olbermann talking points on Sarah Palin, know something about ‘time management”

Where do such as GovernmentShrinker come from? Oh, Pennsylvania I see, one of the Blue states no doubt. The blue meanness seems to be rubbing off on you GovernmentShrinker. It must be a fearful thing to be so terribly righteous that you can't see the log in your own eye. You, sir or madam, are just asking for mega slap down from the what comes around goes around fairy. But I do hope that doesn't happen as you seem to be unable to deal with anything other than a life of perfection.
Bristol has not yet wed.
Say what?
The fact that her teenage daughter chose to marry and give birth to her baby tells me that Palin has succeeded as a mother; her daughter knows the right decision to make regarding life, regardless of the criticism she has received.
And how to make lousy decisions from a moral standpoint. Had Bristol Palin done something like finish high school, get a college degree, get married, settle down, and then get pregnant, I suppose you'd say her mother had gone wrong with her somewhere? </sarcasm>
I didn’t realize that. I hope that she and the father choose to marry soon.
Getting pregnant prior to marriage is not the end of the world. Having an abortion is.
I agree.
Neither is the end of the world. And neither can possibly be considered a good thing.
last week we celebrated the birth of a child born to an unwed young woman.
not a comparable birth, I know, but Mary was betrothed, not married, by God’s choice!
So they neglected their sacred duty; they’ll have to answer to God for giving away our country to the Evil One.
A priest friend from Alaska and I were visiting and he happened to mention that the message Governor Palin sent at the dedication of a monument to the unborn blew all others out of the water, including the bishop’s. He wondered if it had to do with her being a pregnant mother, at the time. He said it was very beautiful.
I really don’t know that any person will be able to truly change people’s hearts on this issue. Until the American people turn their hearts toward God and He deals with them personally, I don’t see how we’re going to turn this thing around.
