**In many Catholic homes (especially Italian ones), it’s not Christmas Day that is for giving presents to children, but the Feast of Epiphany, when the gifts are given in a way related to the Magi. **
Do you exchange gifts at Christmas or on the Epiphany?
Christmas.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My parents are divorce so we “kids” have to do every holiday and birthday twice. In my middle Brother and SIL’s case they have to do things four times, since her parents are divorced as well.
We do gifts on Christmas. Epiphany usually marks the last day that the tree and the decorations will be up.
Christmas and the tree at least comes down tomorrow. A couple days early, I know, but there will be plenty of hands around to pack up all the ornaments and be sure the lights are wound without tangles. The outdoor lights will still be up and the creche - I’m not sure. That might come down tomorrow, too since half the Old Testament is on the mantle.
Christmas. My Armenian relatives exchange on the Epiphany.
We give gifts on St. Nicholas’ Day and on Epiphany. Stockings on Christmas morning. Exchanges of presents with extended family and friends at other times in Christmas.
