One question that I would ask all Mormons is this: "If I accept you as a Christian, will you accept me as a Mormon?" Would you accept me as a Mormon if I reject Joseph Smith and all the LDS prophets as being prophets of God. If I do not believe in the Book of Mormon or the LDS Scriptures, baptisms for the dead, the temple endowments, the LDS gospel, would you accept me as a Mormon? The answer is obviously, you would not. In like manner, when Mormonism denies the Bible and every Christian doctrine do you think that Biblical Christians should accept Mormons as Christians? Again the answer is very obvious, no we will not. You cannot legitimately claim to be Christians when you refuse to accept what the Bible teaches and what a true Christian believes.

I guess it depends if you are talking about a church label or a relationship with God in one’s heart. If the latter, that is between the individual and God.

We love Big Love. I didn’t want to, I wasn’t planning on watching when it started, but we were sucked in. Mr. Cat says he is done watching it, and then he gets sucked in every episode.

Margene is my favorite sister-wife as far as looks go, but if I had to chose a wife I would chose Barbara.

There are many on Free Republic that will vehemently argue that Catholicism isn't Christian. Instead of getting into a legalistic comparison of main stream Christianity and the LDS faith why don't you ask if faithful observance of the Book of Mormon also satisfies the Beatitudes?

I’m sure this could be an scholarly, interesting topic for the theologically-minded among us, but in a political context, all it ever does is get ugly. I’m not Mitt Romney’s biggest fan, but I was shocked at the number of conservative voters who wanted to split hairs over whether he was a Christian during the primaries. I think it’s one of the main reasons we ended up with John McCain by default. And we wonder why our party has problems?

My only question is why anyone cares about this nonsense in the first place.

Maybe a better way to put my last response is: That is for God to decide and man to act like he knows better.

The argument will be that those teachings are not translated correctly.
The LDS church is very good at coming up with very simple arguments to combat traditional christian teachings.
The LDS church relies heavily on emotion. That is why you are instructed to pray about the BOM. Then if your prayers don’t come back that it is true then you didn’t have a open mind, you must go back and try again.

Us too - but this season really gave more insight into why supposedly normal women (with the exception of Nicki of course) would agree to share a husband.... Barb thought she was dying, Nicki had been given to an old fart so Bill had to have looked good to her, and Margene had a floozy Mother and no stability.... I still think they are nuts!

It might make you a good person, but it doesn't make you a Christian.

Well, they AIN’T Muslims.
On the other hand, I’m pretty ignorant on this subject. What specific Christian beliefs and/or portions of the Bible, do Mormons reject?
