A video of a debate held at a leading Christian Book Expo on the topic of the existence of God can be found at THIS LINK.
The panelists are:
Be advised the video is almost two hours long.
Also be advised it is a fascinating philosophical exchange.
Enjoy

Thanks for the video link.
Have you noticed how this old world is changing? More than ever now life needs rearranging. It would be heavenly if we all remembered this: The simple things in life are around you everywhere. Right outside your door, why keep reaching for the moon. That hello neighbor smile, will be coming back in style - so will wedding rings and the simple things in life.
There’s life again in lover’s lane and that’s a very good sign. We’re on the track to welcome back a bit of auld angwuine. That hello neighbor smile will be coming back in style - so will wedding rings and the simple things in life.
Amen to that.
It’s not about agreeing or disagreeing with mortal man.

God is amused.
I think that Christianity is alot like a firearm... It is better to have it and not need it, than to need it not have it.
It’s about some people people being certain about things which they are clearly uncertain.
If a creator exists, I find it unconvincing that disagreement with him is the one and only irredeemable sin.
Both sides, right? Otherwise please reread my post up above.
I am usually quite certain about things I am certain of...
And, if it comes to believing you or believing God...it's not even a contest.
Of that I am certain.
Only the God of the Bible says what happens before it happens with accuracy and specificity.
“Allah” does not do this. Men and devils can’t do this. Only God.
Please see http://www.direct.ca/trinity/y3nf.html for the details.
“The basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.
All theology derives from the interpretation of the Word and the instruction that we get from the Teacher - Helper that Christ has sent us.”
Yet another site that doesn’t feel that Catholics are Christians. They are wrong but it is sad they feel that way.
But I think the burden of proof should lie on those that say they know God and talk to him on a daily basis, not the guy who says such a thing is probably unlikely.
That is why it is the true path, only a loving Father, one who gives us sunsets and flowers, and all the otherwise purposeless beauty in the universe would GIVE salvation, instead of demanding things from us in return, as other creeds and faiths do.
And I'm not asking you to believe anything. Believe what you want, just don't ask me to believe you're absolutely certain.
I know this - you know this. Those who insist that the Bible only has 66 books do not know this.
Rather than fight evil they fight other Christians.
Hmmm...
Christians outnumber Atheist in this panel at least 5 to 1. Is it fair ? Where are Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris when you need them ?
Oh, I see. Maybe you should go a reinvent the wheel or something equally useful.
The list of atrocities committed by atheists is very long and the list of tragedies by believers is less than one page. Most of the so-called evils committed by the Catholic Church all supposedly happened hundreds of years ago - a convenient lie because there are no first hand accounts to rebuff the liars whereas we know Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Planned Parenthood.
Don’t forget that Mr. Hitchens himself has advocated genocide against Islam (which, for the fighting they get involved in is less death in 500 years than one year of business as usual for planned parenthood).
Pardon me for going on like this but I’ve really had enough from the atheists are righteous crowd.
No offense to you personally because I hope you really are a gun runner! We’re going to need you if this atheist BHO gets any more power.
That’s a rather harsh employer. If I’d have known that falling out of line with the boss means eternal torture and suffering in the fire, I might not have taken this job.
It is as it has been and always shall be. That is why we have ears to hear and eyes to see and a will to decide.
People want to get caught in the details, and that is the trap laid for us. Things like should we dunk or sprinkle to baptize, or even do it at all.
But the message is what has always counted, and it is the same in the end.
I was raised Methodist and was a practicing Orthodox in my young adulthood for some time. I move between them easily now, and appreciate the richness of both, and see that in the end they are so similar amidst their great differences...
Were you given a choice?
Was their another place to work?
What?! Exactly how can you commit genocide against a religion.
If you meant to say that Hitchens believes in genocide against all Muslims, then you are quite wrong and should apologize to Hitch.
Pardon me for going on like this but Ive really had enough from the atheists are righteous crowd.
You might think that me having a simple theological discussion is indignation, but I can assure you it's not. I'm just always surprised at Freepers like the one in post #2 who is so quick to say something to the effect of "the temperature of your afterlife will go up" if you don't believe in a theistic God.
Who's being the righteous one? I'm not predicting the outcome of anyone's afterlife.
I never asked you to do anything. If you want nothing to do with God, you have no worries.
Not sure, but wherever Jefferson, Paine, and Einstein got fired as well. I don’t mind going where they went.
Anyone who denies there is a God either is too stupid.to know better or is too bitter or arrogrant to admit it
All you have to do is wake up and look at your front door to know and see God’s handiwork
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth ; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
You are obviously familiar with the faith despite your seeming rejection of it, you have indicated such knowledge in your other posts.
Something is either true or it isn't. If I am wrong then you are in good shape, though I wonder where your basis of an afterlife of any temperature comes from...
Then you are in good shape, why worry...
I need it every hour of my life.
Amen...
If He doesn’t exist, it doesn’t matter which you believe (altho I think that society benefits from a people who believed in the teachings of the Judeo-Christian Bible regardless). If He does exist, it matters more than anything else, but by the time any of us has solid *proof* it will be too late for us to change our minds.
Why would we need them?
What do you believe about the afterlife?
Just my cup of tea! ... This will be my evening ‘entertainment’, since I used to like Hitch and am a fan of William Lane Craig and familiar with Lee Strobel. Thanks for posting the link.
But any atheist will quickly counter than they are 5 times smarter than any Christian any day of the week, so it’s a wash.
I’d be happy to take on 5 atheists so long as they talked in order. But Noachides and Orthodox Jews are much more interesting.
What about just people?
I don’t have any idea.
Do you think there is one? (I don’t mean do you know, of course, but do you lean one way or the other?)
I hate it when my doctor tells me things I should do, and things I should stop doing. It really ticks me off that he tells me it's up to me whether I listen to him or not.
He's such a bastard.
Just sayin'.
It stops at 38 minutes and can’t get the whole 2 hours :(
Hitchens is making his second argument which is patently false. Constant surveillance is only a problem with malevolent forces, not with an all-loving deity. Second, a horrible life and an a lack of worldly justice is nothing compared to eternity. An eternity of bliss would make a whole human life of torture into nothing more than a pinprick in comparison.
The real misfortune would come from the realization that this life of torture is all one will ever receive for all eternity and that the horribly guilty will die in peace.
The video had been watched approximately 600 times when I posted the link a couple of hours ago. As of this writing, almost 1,500 people have tuned in.
There may be some server and/or bandwidth issues at the present time.
