A History of the Baptists, Chapter 1 - The New Testament Churches

Robert Schuller is still the head of the crystal Cathedral isn't he? I know he is quite old now. He actually teaches a new age religion intermeshed with the Holy Scriptures.

Rather like THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING ... Norman Vincent Peale. It isn't that they are mistaken in having these ideas (new age) ... it is that they make it equal to the Scriptures; and muddle the message with Christian lite ideas; and often leave Christ out of it over time. They pick a Scripture like healing and belie, and teach it almost entirely ... over and over and over. Plus New Age teach Jesus was a good man, prophet, teacher. Rarely do they actually mention Scripture. It is a religion that makes man god and that is the problem since creation, isn't it?

Yeah, I keep channel flipping through the religious shows and sometimes watch a few minutes of them ... their shows seem to me all about "supporting" them with contributions ... to be sure there's some "teaching" and singing and stuff but the whole thing, again the way I see it, is about money.

As with Schuller, I just remember there was some sort of controversy over his son taking over and things weren't going so good money wise ....

There is a Christian religious station in West Texas ...

God's Learning Channel that broadcasts all over America and now much of the entire world, Philippines, China, India, Mexico, Canada, Australia, ...

Not much of Europe ... They broadcast there for a year and did not receive a single letter of communication.

They have excellent programs teaching directly from the Scriptures, and teaching our biblical roots..

They have a web site as well for viewing. Also called Prime Time Christian Broadcasting.

There are several streaming Christian radio stations I listen to ... some music some teaching .... different denominations ... BTW I’m what’s called a Messianic Jew in that I believe that Jesus is Messiah ....

Last evening there was a guest on the LOTS (a two hour program ... 5 evenings a week, where a guest comes in and presents his/her ministry and work) and discusses with the two owners of the station. Some are excellent. Last evening the guest was, Eddie Chumney and he traced Yesuah(sp?) from Genesis to Revelation. He will also have part two of this subject for two hours this evening. 8:00-10:00 central Standard time.

The same program is re broadcast 3 times in 24 hours 2:00-4:00 today is one of them.. He (Eddie is well worth hearing. An amazing guy ... his knowledge of the Bible is evident. You might just become a new listener to’God’s Learning Channel’ ... if you can find it okay.

It is the best I have heard overall, 24 hours a day. Repeats on week-ends. Enjoy. FWIW.
