I think I saw a commercial for this the other day. They were playing famous historial clips like “One small step for man...” Then another one was Olbermann’s voice (I think) announcing Barack Obama as president on election night. I rolled my eyes at that. But then I laughed because the one immediately after that was FDR...”This is a date that will live in infamy.”

They will announce the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant, that the pieces of the original Ten Commandments are reconstructable and legible, and that the first commandment is, “To obey the commands of Lord Zero, who will be sent to create Heaven on Earth.”

The Ark of the Covenant is what came to my mind. I listen to Chuck Missler of Koinonia House. He originally taught at Chuck Smith’s church in California and was a friend of Walter Martin.
Missler says that the Jews are preparing for the rebuilding of the Temple and have created more than 50% of the implements which are required; e.g., lampstands, lavers, etc. He says that they have young men in training to be priests. Furthermore, Missler says that he has talked to rabbis who claim that the Ark of the Covenant has been located and is being kept under wraps.
BTW: Missler points out that those young men are required to have Levi jeans! :)

No doubt it will be ANOTHER attempt to discredit Christianity in some way, either direct or round-about.
For a belief system that is “fantasy” or “one way but not the only way” they (the world system) sure do spend a lot of time trying to tear it down.

A little research makes me think that they're talking about a (supposedly) 47,000,000 year old fossil that was recently discovered. See this thread for details. Marginally earthshaking if you think man evolved from lower life forms.

The tin foil hat sites that are "members only" believe that the find is the Stargate. Not the one in the TV but the one of Bush family lore. If it is it will change EVERYTHING. My guess all hype and BS.

A UK broadsheet printed some names of people involved with the conference on the 25th, I don’t recognize any of them but maybe knowing the names of the Doctors/Professors involved and what they specialize in, will give us an idea of what is happening.
The names given in the paper...
Ronald Mallett
Peter Schwartz
John Titor
Yoichiro Nambu
Roy J. Glauber

Fossil Discovery Is Heralded
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124235632936122739.html
In what could prove to be a landmark discovery, a leading paleontologist said scientists have dug up the 47 million-year-old fossil of an ancient primate whose features suggest it could be the common ancestor of all later monkeys, apes and humans.
Anthropologists have long believed that humans evolved from ancient ape-like ancestors. Some 50 million years ago, two ape-like groups walked the Earth. One is known as the tarsidae, a precursor of the tarsier, a tiny, large-eyed creature that lives in Asia. Another group is known as the adapidae, a precursor of today’s lemurs in Madagascar.
Based on previously limited fossil evidence, one big debate had been whether the tarsidae or adapidae group gave rise to monkeys, apes and humans. The latest discovery bolsters the less common position that our ancient ape-like ancestor was an adapid, the believed precursor of lemurs.
