Ok, great. You have a problem with indulgences. Good news — The Church doesn’t do that now. So, when are you starting your CAthecism classes?

Yes, the pure Church founded alone by Jesus Christ somehow had started selling indulgences. Under pressure during the Reformation, it stopped selling them for cash.

It still teaches them, although, again, the whole idea seems to have been left out of Jesus’ teaching.

It is possible to have a serious and respectful discussion of the differences between us - but not on a thread that lumps Methodists, Lutherans, Baptists, Mormons and ‘Christian Scientists’ together.

Oh, really? I recall visiting the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica in the year 2000 and seeing brochures there for a "Jubilee Indulgence" your pope was promoting.

And besides actual indulgences, there still remains the underlying error on the doctrine of justification, which shows up in a number of Roman practices.

What matters is succession in the apostolic DOCTRINE and in practice that accords with it. (See Acts 2:42.)

I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. And as a Lutheran pastor, I have no doubts about my ordination.
