Not really. We Lutherans hold that we believe, teach, and confess the true catholic faith, which the Roman church had gotten away from.

But it was still founded by Luther, correct?
Also, Luther initially started off talking about removing the corruption within The Church -- something that he could have done WITHIN the Church, like St. Francis had done centuries earlier. I don't believe that Luther's later doctrinal changes were more than expediency and I also do believe that he was unduly influenced by north Germanic princes who wanted a cause to fight the Holy Roman Emperor.
