Red Light District America - The Dominating and Oppressing Sexual Culture in America
The Ignorant Fishermen Blog ^ | 7/27/09 | DJP I.F.

Posted on 07/27/2009 8:53:18 PM PDT by The Ignorant Fisherman

It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the United States of America today and not sense the oppressive sexual culture in which we live. It is a subliminal, hypnotic barrage of immoral images, lewd language and erotic enticements that consciously and subconsciously affects our entire nation. It has gone so far that we have become a base and morally callous people. Where can anyone go today without being continuously bombarded by the “24/ 7” decadent drumbeat of this licentious orchestra? We have indeed become a “Red Light District” nation!

This hypnotic drum beat comes from all different sources of media: TV, radio, the internet, billboards, advertising, the music industry, the fashion world, Hollywood, the sports world, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, classrooms, college campuses, government,….and on and on. Every facet of life has been affected. Every nook and cranny of American culture has been permeated and contaminated with this sickening vice. Teaching and preaching the moral values and virtues that are vital to preserve a healthy society brings only hate and slander from the vast secular faction here in the United States.

Obama will do nothing but allow the country to slip further into sin. We need to take it upon ourselves to purge this filth from our communities.

There are a bunch of conservatives out there who do not base their beliefs on religion. The religious right bigots and socialist leftwing bigots can not handle this point of view. The religious right want to claim all conservatives as their own and socialist left want to paint all conservatives as far right wing bigots. Both the far right and the far left do not want to hear any point of view except their own. I have news for both ends of the zealot scale. 80%+ of the American public fall between these book end radicals and do not want to be identified as either color of zealot. I can't stand non tolerant zealots.
The author of this slanted, biased, one sided, intolerant rant doesn't have a clue. They should take a trip to Europe and take a stroll through the parks of Amsterdam. Maybe a trip to the Philippines, or Thailand, or a look at the legal houses of prostitution of Germany. After they gain some prospective on what the red light districts of the world really look like then they can draw so meaningful and realistic comparisons. Right now their total ignorance of this subject makes them look like idiots. It is easy to print these attack rants. It would be much more effective if the author has some awareness of the factual truth and provable reality of the subject. I'm sick and tired of zealots, on the right and on the left. If I want someone to preach at me I'll go to church. If I want to hear about the values of socialism I'll listen to a left wing South American dictator. I believe most Americans agree with me. We are sick and tired of all flavors of bigots. Go away.

“When all options have been exhausted, God in His great wrath will send His Son from Heaven to destroy this global mutiny against the sovereignty of Almighty God and His Christ (Psalm 2; Zech. 14:3-4, 12; 2 Thess. 2:8; Rev. 19:11-21).

After this global blood bath and purge of all rebellious humanity (Mal. 4:2-3; Matt. 25:31-46; Rev. 19:11-21), Almighty God will set up His righteous kingdom on earth in Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:1-10; Daniel 2:44-45, 7:13-14; Rev. 11:15).”

Imagine - no liberals. Right Jim?

You can quote the bible all you want, and I can ignore it every time.
Do you realize that there are more Muslims on this earth than there are Christians? They are more vocal than Christians. They are more demanding of fellow Muslims than Christians are of each other.
So does being louder and more intolerant make them right???
No more than quoting scriptures from the bible in here makes you right.
Two peas in a pod.

Maybe a trip to the Philippines, or Thailand, or a look at the legal houses of prostitution of Germany...

You must be kidding.

Why would anyone use a sewer as their standard for deciding what is filthy.

Instead you should simply take a look at the moral standards of the first four hundred years of our civilization.

Perfect? Never.

But if sex perversion, open adultery, shacking up, pornography, drug abuse, abortion on demand, filthy language, whore-mongering and a marxist president are middle of the road, then the Democrat Underground is your home base.

Rome and Sodom fell because of the same thing: Sensuality and immorality, accepted as “normal,” among other things. (Rome also came to the point of socialism toward the end - Many were on the government dole.) I’ve noticed things getting worse.

Some people have no concept of the idea of modesty in clothing, for example. When I try to explain the reasoning for it, they get a blank look on their faces.

Backwards thinking - That is, a mindset that thinks of things “backwards” from what they should be — For example - “It’s better to live with my boyfriend before marriage for a while - That way we can see whether or not we are sexually compatible.” But that practice really tends to cause problems for people. Usually the ones who divorce are the ones who lived together beforehand - and/or slept with several others before that. . . . . My co-worker said, “I waited a year to ask her to marry me. Because I never get serious with a woman until after I’ve lived with her for a year.” But she refused him, and broke up with him shortly thereafter, which saddened him. Backwards thinking.

The opposite mindset would be: “I waited a year; after dating her for one year, I proposed. That’s because I never get serious with a young lady until after I’ve courted her for at least a year.” And then maybe she would have said “yes,” and then after marriage, they would sleep together for the first time. . . . There are reasons for traditions, and they are important. They are about respect for one’s spouse (or significant other); respect for God; respect for the body; respect for the institution of marriage; — & respect for intimate relations that were designed by God for a beautiful purpose.

Did you cut and paste your attack on conservative Christianity from the radical left websites to reflect your conversion to the new morality championed by the sixites radicals?

You have followed the morality of the San Francisco perversion zealots in opposition to the moral traditions of America. That is far from anything to be proud of unless your standard is the Larry Flynt and Barney Frank crowd.

One doesn’t have to look long at all...Society is inundated
with obscenity and immorality. There are very few places one can go without having his or her nose rubbed in the filth our noxious TV-ized culture is spewing out like a backed up sewer. What are we who are offended by this obvious moral rot supposed to do? Become hermits so as not to offend those take offense to our being offended by open degeneracy?

Exactly right. I'm not aware of this all-pervasive sex stuff the original poster is worried about. If a person is obsessed with sex and looks for it everywhere, he's going to find it everywhere. The rest of us just get on with our lives.

I came up during the libertine times of the Woodstock era. They've scrubbed most of it out of modern culture. aside from the music. The feminists don't like people knowing they once wore micro-mini skirts smaller than fig leaves to help get feminism accepted in the early days.

I'm having to get another master's degree because of a state licensing board, so I have to take these classes with people half my age, that are younger than my kids.

We were given this three part scenario about some Vietnamese woman struggling with telling her mother she is gay. That's what you get in higher education, multiculturalism.

I asked the prof to survey the class about how many members had discussed deep and specific aspects of their sexuality with their parents at any time, and said that people were getting flat out sick of the societal preoccupation with homosexuality. Most people agreed with me. Twenty years ago, during my earlier college life, they didn't.

So for the people condemning the great strawman, so called religious right, I don't give a flying bowl of Cheerios what two grown same sex people do. It repulses me, but so be it. I am however, really darned sick of being told how bigoted I am, and how I want to make the gays all swallow Bibles while they continually lecture me about their exploits and preferences.

Usually people who scream so loudly about others staying out of their bedrooms care enough about those bedroom activities to bring them into public policy arena, rather than keep their private behaviors private.

Liberals are by nature, liars. Their contemptible game is to accuse their opposition of their own sins in order to silence their opposition and the truth of their arguments.

While making sex perversion as public as possible, the liberal makes the blatantly false claim of concern regarding privacy in order to have a complete monopoly on their very public message promoting magnitudes of increasing filth.

Dear “Old Enough”, You are obviously a person who has some sense of values. Your tagline says as much.

I believe that what Madison is calling for in his post is local and personal initiative - which is precisely the type of self-government the Founders intended for America. (I make this assumption from my reading not only of the Constitution, but the Federalist Papers.)

To color all who hold strict moral values as “bigots” is to fly in the face of Adams statement that the “...Constitution is suited to the governance of a moral and religious people, it is wholly unsuited to any other...”

This is not to suppose that the non-believer cannot prosper and find happiness in America. The America I know is big enough for the Deist Jefferson, the Evangelical Billy Graham and the Atheist Ayn Rand - all of whom would champion the country, its values and its tolerance.

Tolerance, however, cannot be confused with license, nor can it be allowed to inhibit the natural impetus of each community within the Nation to construct its own ordinances for self-governance. Nowhere in the Bill of Rights will you find a securing of the right to fornicate, pander or debase a community.

If the majority of Americans choose to live in a sewer of licentiousness and filth, then they will find that their nation will soon resemble the Socialist Utopias that both you and I fought to prevent America from becoming.

Are Las Vegas and New Orleans the pinnacle of American culture? I hope not!

Are they part of the fabric of this society? Probably so - but just because a garment has some frayed and dirty edges, that doesn’t mean that the whole doesn’t serve its function.

You took some time to champion the brothel culture of Europe, but in the same post your tagline disavowed the Socialist Culture that is its natural outgrowth.

Which is the symptom and which is the disease is open for debate, but that the two go hand in hand is not.

A perspective on this can be found in the work of the aforementioned Atheist, Ayn Rand, who wrote: “In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.”

I agree that no one is forcing me to watch the rubbish on electronic media. When I watch TV, I prefer to put in one of my DVD’s from the Golden Age of both movie and television. Or I don’t watch at all. I’ll read(which is better, anyway) or do something else. Hitting the off switch on the TV is the moral equivalent of flushing a commode. Unfortunately, the stench lingers on in our TV-ized culture in which I must work, shop and live. Just as you have the right to decide what to watch(as do I),I have the right to despise the moral rot in our culture and to actively oppose it.

We already know that, what about the posted article, Red Light District America........?

Those who are not on either end of the zealot scale will pray for your enlightenment but since you have the ability to read the minds of 80% of the American public you already knew that.

“It is easy to print these attack rants”

Yes, we know, just as no forced you to read the article, no one is forcing your little fingers to the keys.

“I can't stand non tolerant zealots”.

I can't either so I'll leave you to yourself.

“We are sick and tired of all flavors of bigots”.

My, my, you both must be soooo conflicted! But now that you've let all that bile out, do either of you feel better?

When you and you get back from your European cruise come back and talk but only one of you at a time. g’night.

I understand what your saying. fortunately where I work we have dress codes so there ain’t a lot of butts showing. So it’s drive into the big city work and drive back home. I purposely moved out of Wichita Kansas because of all the crime and gang bangers. we have one main highway through the middle of town going south and north the one I drive to work on every day and you never know when some dumb shit is going to pull a gun on you if he or she felt like you dis them or something so I’d rather not drive around to much in Wichita, and I work 2nd shift so it in town before the 5:00 rush and it out of town after midnight.

The truth is that the Christian faith is STILL the largest religion and is growing in what is called the “global south” of Latin America,Asia, and Africa. The big 3 Christian churches leading in this growth in the global south is the Roman Catholic Church,Anglican, and Pentacostal/Evangelical churches.

Islam comes in second in numbers.

You are a parasite.

You benefit from the heritage of morality we Americans inherited, which is based in Fear of G-d, yet you deny it, and you deny G-d, or at least a moral G-d.

The freedom you cherish is rooted in that religious heritage, and can not survive without a culture that is moral. Yet you scoff at at it.

A parasite.

Well..Christ is the cure alone not the pope..

And of course the Pope agrees, so be careful of false dichotomies -- it is not an issue of Christ vs the Pope. To endorse the one is to automatically endorse the other. The Theology of the Body is all about living a Christ-centered life.

I read it differently. He wants to dictate public morals based on his religion the same as Islam does.
I do not wish to be governed by others religions. Our constitution and our forfathers gave us freedom of religion and also if we chose the freedom from religion. A christian zealot trying to rule by their perception that they have that right from God is exactly the same and a radical muslim with a AK47 in their hands.

Excuse me!!! I'm a disabled vet. A medically retired from battle injuries disabled vet. I have given my blood and a part of my body for the freedoms that we all enjoy. My family hasn't missed a war on behalf of this country in the last hundred years.
Being so high and mighty you won't mind answering the obvious question.
What the heck have you done to earn out freedoms??? Did you give 15 years of your life and more than a dozen surgeries. You are a total ignorant fool for making those statements.
You sir, are a joke. Actually your accusations amount to bold faced lies and total disrespect for all of those who have fought and died so you can run your mouth.
You seem to think I have no faith just because I don't believe as you do. I've heard many muslims make the same claim. That is the company you put yourself into. This clearly points out your arrogance. Your words clearly demonstrate that you think you have the right to impose your beliefs on others and you are the only one with “the right” answer.

“A perspective on this can be found in the work of the aforementioned Atheist, Ayn Rand, who wrote: “In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.”

Let me remind you that more evil has been done on this earth in the name of religion, and a good part of the Christian religion, than for any other cause.
This is provable documented history.

A braggart too. Sorry charlie, I’m not offering up and sympathy to you. You have have gone through a lot of hell, but that line is very long, the shorter line is those who’ve learned from it.

I'm not a member of moveon.org, or any other liberal website. You form of religion does not own the conservative movement and these comments just display your arrogant belief that you do.
Post #45 is also relevant to you. I would be interested in your answer to the question contained in that post.

Or those how have the backbone to stand up and fight. That is very lacking at times. It's easy to run your mouth. This morning I had more family get on the big bird and head east to the big sandbox.
I don't want your sympathy. I do well and have a great life because I have earned it, all by myself.
You can take your condescending attitude and shove it.

My granddad taught me to cover my wounds, not just so they heal, but for modesty.
