It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the United States of America today and not sense the oppressive sexual culture in which we live. It is a subliminal, hypnotic barrage of immoral images, lewd language and erotic enticements that consciously and subconsciously affects our entire nation. It has gone so far that we have become a base and morally callous people. Where can anyone go today without being continuously bombarded by the “24/ 7” decadent drumbeat of this licentious orchestra? We have indeed become a “Red Light District” nation!

This hypnotic drum beat comes from all different sources of media: TV, radio, the internet, billboards, advertising, the music industry, the fashion world, Hollywood, the sports world, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, classrooms, college campuses, government,….and on and on. Every facet of life has been affected. Every nook and cranny of American culture has been permeated and contaminated with this sickening vice. Teaching and preaching the moral values and virtues that are vital to preserve a healthy society brings only hate and slander from the vast secular faction here in the United States.

There are a bunch of conservatives out there who do not base their beliefs on religion. The religious right bigots and socialist leftwing bigots can not handle this point of view. The religious right want to claim all conservatives as their own and socialist left want to paint all conservatives as far right wing bigots. Both the far right and the far left do not want to hear any point of view except their own. I have news for both ends of the zealot scale. 80%+ of the American public fall between these book end radicals and do not want to be identified as either color of zealot. I can't stand non tolerant zealots.
The author of this slanted, biased, one sided, intolerant rant doesn't have a clue. They should take a trip to Europe and take a stroll through the parks of Amsterdam. Maybe a trip to the Philippines, or Thailand, or a look at the legal houses of prostitution of Germany. After they gain some prospective on what the red light districts of the world really look like then they can draw so meaningful and realistic comparisons. Right now their total ignorance of this subject makes them look like idiots. It is easy to print these attack rants. It would be much more effective if the author has some awareness of the factual truth and provable reality of the subject. I'm sick and tired of zealots, on the right and on the left. If I want someone to preach at me I'll go to church. If I want to hear about the values of socialism I'll listen to a left wing South American dictator. I believe most Americans agree with me. We are sick and tired of all flavors of bigots. Go away.

Do you realize that there are more Muslims on this earth than there are Christians? They are more vocal than Christians. They are more demanding of fellow Muslims than Christians are of each other.

Some people have no concept of the idea of modesty in clothing, for example. When I try to explain the reasoning for it, they get a blank look on their faces.

The opposite mindset would be: “I waited a year; after dating her for one year, I proposed. That’s because I never get serious with a young lady until after I’ve courted her for at least a year.” And then maybe she would have said “yes,” and then after marriage, they would sleep together for the first time. . . . There are reasons for traditions, and they are important. They are about respect for one’s spouse (or significant other); respect for God; respect for the body; respect for the institution of marriage; — & respect for intimate relations that were designed by God for a beautiful purpose.

Exactly right. I'm not aware of this all-pervasive sex stuff the original poster is worried about. If a person is obsessed with sex and looks for it everywhere, he's going to find it everywhere. The rest of us just get on with our lives.

I came up during the libertine times of the Woodstock era. They've scrubbed most of it out of modern culture. aside from the music. The feminists don't like people knowing they once wore micro-mini skirts smaller than fig leaves to help get feminism accepted in the early days.

I'm having to get another master's degree because of a state licensing board, so I have to take these classes with people half my age, that are younger than my kids.

We were given this three part scenario about some Vietnamese woman struggling with telling her mother she is gay. That's what you get in higher education, multiculturalism.

I asked the prof to survey the class about how many members had discussed deep and specific aspects of their sexuality with their parents at any time, and said that people were getting flat out sick of the societal preoccupation with homosexuality. Most people agreed with me. Twenty years ago, during my earlier college life, they didn't.

So for the people condemning the great strawman, so called religious right, I don't give a flying bowl of Cheerios what two grown same sex people do. It repulses me, but so be it. I am however, really darned sick of being told how bigoted I am, and how I want to make the gays all swallow Bibles while they continually lecture me about their exploits and preferences.

Usually people who scream so loudly about others staying out of their bedrooms care enough about those bedroom activities to bring them into public policy arena, rather than keep their private behaviors private.
