A mysterious screen of extra-loud radio noise permeates the cosmos, preventing astronomers from observing heat from the first stars. The balloon-borne ARCADE instrument discovered this cosmic static (white band, top) on its July 2006 flight. The noise is six times louder than expected. Astronomers have no idea why.

Quix and ST,
I believe I posted this article when it first came out in Jan of this year, I posted it again, because I wanted to see your opinion on this strange noise and in fact all the Mysterious Booms that were being heard all over the world..

I think they have stopped in the last 4 to 6 months, anyways
what do you think of these Mysterious booms as being the 7 Trumpets blowing as spoke of in the Book of Revelation?

Sounds like scientists were expecting it but didn’t expect it to be so “loud”.

I don't think they were expecting it, but ye they were suprised.... Astronomers find mysterious radio burst Listen to the universe’s primal scream Black hole sings the deepest B-flat---The earliest trumpets date back to 1500 BC and earlier-- trumpet is a musical instrument with the highest register in the brass family.[1] Trumpets are among the oldest musical instruments,[2] dating back to at least 1500 BC. They are constructed of brass tubing bent twice into an oblong shape, and are played by blowing air through closed lips, producing a "buzzing" sound which starts a standing wave vibration in the air column inside the trumpet. There are several types of trumpet; the most common is a transposing instrument pitched in B♭. Not only has it presented astronomers with a new puzzle, it is obscuring the sought-for signal from the earliest stars. But the cosmic static may itself provide important clues to the development of galaxies when the universe was much younger, less than half its present age. Because the radio waves come from far away, traveling at the speed of light, they therefore represent an earlier time in the universe. "This is what makes science so exciting," Seiffert said. "You start out on a path to measure something — in this case, the heat from the very first stars — but run into something else entirely, some unexplained

Or Maybe they are the 7 Seals Opening...
The seven seals (Revelation 6:1-17, 8:1-5), seven trumpets (Revelation 8:6-21, 11:15-19), and seven bowls (Revelation 16:1-21) are three succeeding series of end-times judgments from God.

The judgments get progressively worse and more devastating as the end times progress. The seven seals, trumpets, and bowls are connected to one another. The seventh seal introduces the seven trumpets (Revelation 8:1-5), and the seventh trumpet introduces the seven bowls (Revelation 11:15-19, 15:1-8).

The first four of the seven seals are known as the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. The first seal introduces the Antichrist (Revelation 6:1-2). The second seal causes great warfare (Revelation 6:3-4). The third of the seven seals causes famine (Revelation 6:5-6). The fourth seal brings about plague, further famine, and further warfare (Revelation 6:7-8).

The fifth seal tells us of those who will be martyred for their faith in Christ during the end times (Revelation 6:9-11). God hears their cries for justice and will deliver it in His timing—in the form of the sixth seal, along with the trumpet and bowl judgments. When the sixth of the seven seals is broken, a devastating earthquake occurs, causing massive upheaval and terrible devastation—along with unusual astronomical phenomena (Revelation 6:12-14).

Those who survive are right to cry out, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelation 6:16-17).

The 7 Trumpets of God won't be announced in a little read Technology & Science section on an on-line MSNBC news web site. Especially one written January 7, 2009.

When they Blow, we'll all know. We won't need some pencil neck geeks on a Government grant to tell us they think they heard something strange.

Spend a little time reading up on pre-Copernican cosmology, then, if you dig that idea. The Harmonia Mundae, the music of the spheres, was a well studied phenomenon. The motion of planets, from a geocentric point of view, strike all sorts of chords and, yes, make music of a sort.

A good, basic, light primer on the subject would be The Little Book Of Coincidence, written by John Martineau for Wooden Books. I believe Amazon carries it. There's a set of five or six of these little books, by various authors, covering scientific matters from an older point of view, Platonic Solids and such, very interesting reading, not difficult at all.

Really nice, physical quality to the books themselves, too, the binding, the paper, the rare illustrations.

Scripture is full of references to space and stars. Here are a few:

Job 38:7 - Stars “sing”. They each give off a certain frequency that can be used to identify them.

I Corinthians 15:41 - Every star differs from another star.

Hebrews 11:12 - The stars are as numberless as the sands of the sea.

Have you read C. S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia, specifically, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Last Battle? In it, the stars of the Narnian world are portrayed as heavenly people.

(Trying to remember a passage from Dawn Treader:)

"In our world, a star is a great glowing ball of gas."

"Even in your world, Eustace, that is what stars are made of, but that is not what they are."

There will likely be some mysteries and room for quibbling on some things that God wants to keep obscure from the enemy for some reason.

However, I believe that the vast majority of Biblically predicted things will be glaringly obvious and literally as predicted.

That passage from I Corinthians is one of my favorites. It's beautiful, and not very many in the modern world seem to have bothered to ponder, just what it's really saying in its totality, at least not that I've found, and I've spent some time with it.

I Corinthians 15:35-58:

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die;

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body which shall be, but grain, it may be of wheat, or some other;

38 but God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh; but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40 Also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial, and bodies telestial; but the glory of the celestial, one; and the terrestrial, another; and the telestial, another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption;

43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit, that which is natural first, and not that which is spiritual; but afterwards, that which is spiritual;

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

What is translated “trumpet” is Shofar. A shofar is made from a ram’s horn, and is not a musical instrument; it is an instrument of worship. It is blown at Yom Kippur.

Its not yet time. - There will be literally hundreds of blasts on the shofar. The one that signals the time is “the last trump” which is the end of the nineth group of blasts.

Of course, sound waves can't travel in a vacuum (which is what most of space is), or at least they can't very efficiently. But radio waves can....
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
Another angel, who had a golden mixing board, came and stood near the altar. He was given much amperage to offer, through the speakers of all the saints, on the golden mixing board which was behind and to the left of the throne, and hidden by a screen.
The noise of the sound check, together with the murmurings of the saints, went up before God from the angel's board.
Then the angel took the coverings off the microphones, crumpled them in his right hand, and hurled them onto the stage; and there came peals of horns, rumblings of tympanies, flashes of cymbals, and a tambourine.
Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

Revelation 8:2-6, Sennhauser version.
