Fr. Tom Rosica, the CEO of Salt + Light TV, has posted a scathing, malicious, and bizarre attack on the pro-life community in the Catholic Church on his blog, wildly accusing critics of Sen. Edward Kennedys public funeral of division, destruction, hatred, vitriol, judgment and violence
destroying and killing others.

TOPICS: Catholic; Religion & Politics

Excerpt: Jesus could have avoided crucifixion if He just danced a bit for King Herod too. Herod was the liberal, political establishment figure of His time. But Our Lord wouldnt dance for him. Why not? Herod wasnt asking Jesus to deny His own divinity, after all
just to use it to entertain him with a miracle or two. Our Lord didnt perform for Herod because doing so would have cheapened the truth for the sake of mere human respect and political protocol - which is precisely what happened at the Kennedy funeral. Just as Jesus would not betray the dignity that His Divinity demanded of Him before a violent and liberal political class, so too should have Cardinal OMalley not betrayed the dignity of the unborn by forgetting who he was and who he represented, and by celebrating a notorious public legacy whose scandalous and murderous focus was the dismemberment of the helpless unborn child.

Although the official position of the Catholic Church is anti-abortion, why do Catholics typically vote for Democrats? The vast majority voted for Obama...unbelievable.

The word “light” would be appropriate as in Catholic Light.

Exactly. There are cultural Catholics and then there are observant Catholics.

A majority of those telling exit pollsters that they were Catholic said they voted for Obowma. You can tell an exit pollster anything. Doesn’t make it true.
