The Nightmare of Christianity By Max Blumenthal
September 9, 2009
The following is an excerpt from Max Blumenthal's new book, Republican Gommorah: Inside the Movement That Shattered the Party, published by Nation Books.
A few miles down the road from Colorado Springs [a home to James Dobson's Focus on the Family], in the quiet bedroom community of Eldredge, a deeply disturbed young man named Matthew Murray followed the unfolding debacle at New Life Church [once under the stewardship of Pastor Ted Haggard] with an interest that bordered on obsession. Murray, a sallow-faced, bespectacled 24-year-old, had been indelibly scarred by a lifetime of psychological abuse at the hands of his charismatic Pentecostal parents. Murray's mind became crowded with thoughts of death, destruction, and the killings he would soon carry out in the name of avenging what he called his "nightmare of Christianity."
On an online chat room for former Pentecostals, Murray heaped contempt on his mother, Loretta, a physical therapist who homeschooled him to ensure that his contact with the outside world was severely limited. "My 'mother,'" Murray wrote, "is just a brainswashed [sic] church agent cun,t [sic]. The only reason she had me was because she wanted a body/soul she could train into being the next Billy Graham..."

If he hates it here so much..maybe he should LEAVE. Move to Amsterdam, Ukraine, or India. See how he likes it there.
Change a few words of this from Christian to race, homosexuality, Islamic fundamentalism, etc and you have hate speech.
But it is anti-Christian so no big deal.
Hey, “we won”. Put some ice on it.
People like Max believe in nothing and play the odds. If he eventually has to submit or die, submission is merely the price of continuing to do business. Until then, he floats and sells his skills to the highest bidder. To people ike him, all other considerations are naive.
WOW. He takes everything the murderer alleges as gospel truth, doesn’t he? It doesn’t even occur to him that a mass murderer with a history of crazy might not be completely honest.
I don’t think it is religion which has killed the GOP.
parsy, who feels sorry for the kids
Leftists are miserable people and have a strong desire to make everyone else miserable, too. They don’t mind Islam, because it is at its core a miserable, evil, anti-human philosophy. They think they can coopt it someday. But they hate Christianity and Christians. They hate that it is uplifting, that it brings joy, that it makes one a better person. That they can’t stand, and it makes them mad with fury. I could picture Max Blumenthal supervising the execution of Christians, and purple with rage when they don’t disavow their beliefs.
These retards don’t understand the basic formula of Christianity vs Islam.
Christianity = Good religion, with a few bad people
Islam = Evil religion, with a few good people
They base their assumptions on both religions on those few people.
We shouldn’t be surprised at Max’s venom—he’s the son of Sid Blumenthal, the toxic former Clinton advisor.
Yikes...how’d you like to be at Thanksgiving with that family?
Max Blumenthal....damn...many Jews sure have it in for my kind....
and they wonder why folks get bitter at them
it’s ridiculous
Sounds like pure projection on Max’s part. The abuse and brainwashing he must’ve received from the parental units had to have been epic. He just uses his keyboard to spread hate and bigotry.
I think the barf alert is somewhat redundant. Nausea [or hysterical laughter] is a given whenever you post something from “The Nation.”
Sid Vicious, Jr.? No wonder.
Yup, a Marxist rag from way back when it was considered un-American to be Marxist. Now, we make them President.

Lee Harvey Oswald was an atheist and a communist.

We’re going to see a deluge of such books and articles. The left thinks they can deal a deathblow to the Republican party by targeting Christianity. Persecution is coming, and few churches are prepared.
Good vs Evil
the Force vs the Dark Side
The whole movement always seemed negative to me - godless and cold.
Like the Deatheaters in the HP movies - they suck all the happiness out of you. Christianity will be the next big enemy - just like others in history they need to get rid of any other power base and the Church is it.
Biggest laugh: They think they can coopt (Islam) someday. Are they serious? Corroborators are hated by both sides. It can happen here.
To whom do you think they would give thanks?
Sad
