It is prophesied that the antichrist will set himself up in the Temple. For almost 2000 years there hasn’t been a Temple.
End Times Ping
As a young Christian in the 1970’s I got caught up on reading all of those end-times books in the Bible Book stores. The book captivating me the most, being Hal Lindsey’s book “The late great Planet Earth”, but there were many others as well. The books were fascinating at the time, I could hardly put them down - but the predictions even with the Biblical reference also seemed a little far fetched at the time. Yea, it could all happen, but it would take a hundred years or more I thought.
CASHLESS SOCIETY?
Those end-time book writers said we would someday be able to purchase about anything with the swipe of the card, even a telephone call, the vending machine and a parking lot? A stretch in the 1970’s, but now I hardly ever carry cash or coin anymore. Other that the coffee kitty at work I can go weeks without coin or paper money. To be completely cut off from it would be no big deal. As long as the card scanner worked. Oh and did I mention you could use the card all over the World? How possible was that in 1972? Now we are having China, the EU, and others saying we need to move to a global currency, and now for the first time ever – we are listening. Which brings me to the next topic.
ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT?
We have come along way on this one since Hal Lindsey’s book, haven’t we? Hard to visualize in the 1970’s. Now, its something even the main stream media is picking up on. We can now communicate at the speed of light anywhere we want because of the World Wide Web and satellite communication. We can and are letting the Worlds economy, or our nation’s dept to other nations, and environmental treaties push us in that direction of a one World Government.
ONE WORLD LEADER / ANTICHRIST?
In 1972 It was a great mystery how one man could enter the World stage and become so popular in such a short amount of time, and how this popularity will cross borders. After all he will only have 3 1/2 years to position himself for the abomination of desecration. Not saying Obama is the One, but with Obama coming out of nowhere in just a few months to become almost a Godhead to hundreds of millions of his Koolaid drinking followers all over the World. I can say now, that this mystery has been solved. If he is not the One, the real antichrist is waiting just off stage, and Obama is preparing the world to accept One leader.
THE NEW TEMPLE
Now this should really give us who believe in the End-Times prophecies in the Bible something to contemplate. There has been talk about rebuilding the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem For the Abomination of Desolation to happen, the Temple would have to be rebuilt, right? Well there is serious talk of it now. I bought a copy of Lindsey’s book in 74’ when I was in the Air Force. I was bored and looking for something to read. Over the years I’ve watched as things have fallen into place in a manner so close to what Hal wrote way back in 1969.
In the last year things are moving way too fast not to see that something really BIG has been set in motion.

Lindsey's books were very exciting then, even more so now as we see the very technology that exists today able to accomplish those things spoken of happening during the end-times. MARANATHA...COME LORD JESUS!

Some of the book was pure speculation, and guesses, but the part on the Universal Bar Code was fascinating. If you know how to read the bar codes, 666 is in it. It was true in 1982, and as I look at them today its still there.

Would someone please explain to me why the temple must be built and sacrifices given when Jesus gave the last and final perfect sacrifice. Are all other sacrifices a work of the flesh and a abomination to God?
Jewish tradition and the Jewish people rejected Christ as the Messiah. They do not follow his teachings.

He has not said WHY such will be the case.
Evidently the WHY is not crucial to our understanding or our relationship with HIM.
It is evidently HIS BUSINESS between HIM AND JACOB’S KIDS.

He doesn’t have to explain Himself to us.
He can have as many mysteries lying around Scripture as He wishes. That’s one of them.
More interesting—they appear to continue WITH CHRIST REIGNING FROM JERUSALEM RIGHT AT LEAST INTO THE MILLENIAL REIGN OF CHRIST ON EARTH. THAT’S A REAL puzzle.
HOWEVER, THE MILLENIAL REIGN OF CHRIST IS CERTAINLY THOROUGHLY AS GOD WILLS IT ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
SO, HE MUST HAVE A PURPOSE IN IT.
That we don’t yet understand that purpose does not seem to be a concern of God’s currently, at all.
Certainly the Temple has to be rebuilt for the AC’s abomination of desolation to take place at the 3.5 year mark.
That much is very clear.
That is not a 666 in the barcode, those are just separators.
Jesus is the final sacrifice. The Jews haven’t accepted Christ and are still operating under Mosaic Law. The reason that we are watching for the rebuilding of the Temple is because Biblical prophecy states that the Temple will be there when Christ returns.

I believe that a red heiffer has already been born a few years back.
OK, apparently they’ve had red heifers. These animals have been disqualified for reasons unknown. However, I stumbled across something a tad more interesting. It appears that Israel has only had 9 red heifers over all of these centuries.
According to ancient Jewish tradition, Maimonides claimed that the 10th heifer (or at least it’s ashes) will be present when the Lord is physically present here again on the earth.

When talking about the antichrist-Daniel 9:27. It is reaffirmed in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14. The antichrist will set himself in God’s temple as it is again clearly in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 where it comes right out and says “God’s temple”. The temple has to be there for this to happen.
In the twinkling of an eye. No effort on our part required.

Dan 9:27 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate."
Christ is the one who comfirmed the covenant and was cut off after 3.5 years of ministry. He brought an end to the daily sacrifice. The abomination that was brought to an end was the daily sacrifice that continued for 40 years with the destruction of the temple. The temple of today is our hearts God does not dwell in houses of stone.
“If I knew God I’d be Him.”
The Tribulation period, in addition to God pouring out His wrath against an evil world, is the time when God will again turn His attention to Israel, purify her, and bring her back to Himself.
I can't believe how close we are. This is so exciting!
Every day now there is a prophetic sign that falls right into place and it's happening so fast it's impossible to keep up with it all.
It's at the point where we would be wise to make future plans for only a month at a time!
