Witness the "all" of me
Bible and The Comforter | Scribe

Posted on 10/17/2009 4:39:18 PM PDT by Jedediah

A manifold witness I have placed in you ,

All that is faithful and true ,

A oneness of The Father and I in one breath ,

Can you imagine this depth ,

For what once rested upon me ,

Was the one and the three in complete harmony ,

And so it is even now My fullness with you ,

For as you witness me all 3 come through ~ ~ ~

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:6-12 (King James Version)

6But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

1 Corinthians 4:18-21 (New King James Version) 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

Remember? No one can tell anyone what to do, here.

I am a child of God , but you apparently have problem with prophets of today , do they exist now or are they a thing of the past to you .

I am an overcomer , you see when we overcome we walk in revelation the hidden manna of rev 2:17 . Perhaps some here have yet to overcome so the words of revelation are not understood bereans before pauls arrival were this way . . . the other side of the scroll is waiting for those free from guile saved by the blood of Jesus Christ \o/

1 John 5:4
for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:5
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Revelation 2:17
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it

Revelation 3:21
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 21:7
He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Numbers 16
Korah, Dathan and Abiram

1 Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites—Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—became “insolent”

2 and “rose up” against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council. 3 They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD’s assembly?”

4 When Moses heard this, he fell facedown. 5 Then he said to Korah and all his followers: “In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him.

6 You, Korah, and all your followers are to do this: Take censers 7 and tomorrow put fire and incense in them before the LORD. The man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. You Levites have gone too far!”

8 Moses also said to Korah, “Now listen, you Levites! 9 Isn’t it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the LORD’s tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them?

10 He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too. 11 It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?”

12 Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said, “We will not come!

13 Isn’t it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert? And now you also want to lord it over us? 14 Moreover, you haven’t brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of [b] these men? No, we will not come!”

15 Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, “Do not accept their offering. I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, nor have I wronged any of them.”

16 Moses said to Korah, “You and all your followers are to appear before the LORD tomorrow—you and they and Aaron.

17 Each man is to take his censer and put incense in it—250 censers in all—and present it before the LORD. You and Aaron are to present your censers also.” 18 So each man took his censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 19 When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.

20 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 21 “Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.”

22 But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, “O God, God of the spirits of all mankind, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?”

23 Then the LORD said to Moses, 24 “Say to the assembly, ‘Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.’ “

25 Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.

26 He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”

27 So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.

28 Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: 29 If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me. 30 But if the LORD brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, [c] then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt.”

31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households and all Korah’s men and all their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, “The earth is going to swallow us too!”

35 And fire came out from the LORD and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.

36 The LORD said to Moses, 37 “Tell Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, to take the censers out of the smoldering remains and scatter the coals some distance away, for the censers are holy- 38 the censers of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives. Hammer the censers into sheets to overlay the altar, for they were presented before the LORD and have become holy. Let them be a sign to the Israelites.”

39 So Eleazar the priest collected the bronze censers brought by those who had been burned up, and he had them hammered out to overlay the altar, 40 as the LORD directed him through Moses. This was to remind the Israelites that no one except a descendant of Aaron should come to burn incense before the LORD, or he would become like Korah and his followers.

41 The next day the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. “You have killed the LORD’s people,” they said.

42 But when the assembly gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the Tent of Meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared. 43 Then Moses and Aaron went to the front of the Tent of Meeting, 44 and the LORD said to Moses, 45 “Get away from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.” And they fell facedown.

46 Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer and put incense in it, along with fire from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the LORD; the plague has started.” 47 So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. 48 He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.

49 But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah. 50 Then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for the plague had stopped.

“Isaiah prophecied along with Jeremiah in the first person tense”

Please read both Isaiah 1 and Jeremiah 1...

“If you are a child of God and hear his voice Jesus himself not I will indeed give you what it means for you personally , where are your words from the lord , share with us please his wisdom he has shared...”

If you wish to read the wisdom of God that I’ve shared, or at least tried to, feel free to click here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/by:mrrogers/index?tab=comments;brevity=full;options=no-change

and go back though my posts. Perhaps 500+ or so would involve the word of God, so you’ll have plenty of reading. Some of the Catholics will tell you I’m wrong, but I don’t think they will tell you an interpreter is needed to figure out my beliefs!

And if you wish to know my beliefs, your best bet is to click here:

http://www.grbc.net/about_us/1689.php

I won’t promise I agree with everything in the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, but you won’t find much I disagree with. This link has it in modern English, with links for the scripture references. So easy, even a prophet can use it...

I haven’t asked Jesus what you mean, because I don’t hear His voice in your stuff. I’ve never bothered asking Jesus to explain the Book of Mormon to me, or the ‘Gospel of Thomas’, or any other false teaching.

You’ve asked me, in effect, if you needed to come to me with a rod, and you’ve suggested another poster is in danger of being struck down by God for questioning someone who claims to be a prophet, but who has ZERO evidence of being one.

“Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person...Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person.”

Jesus said we would know false prophets by their fruit.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

Where is your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, etc? I asked repeatedly for an explanation of your gibberish, and all I got was condemnation. Given the chance to glorify God in front of we presumed unbelievers, you turn it down. Paul would contend in the synagogues for months - you didn’t give hours. You threaten people you have never met because they will not bow before you...well, deal with it!

You’ve been tossing out warnings, so here is one for you: God is not mocked.

Excellent post.

You’ve been tossing out warnings, so here is one for you: God is not mocked.

Another warning, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (and that is what we seem to be dealing with here) is UNFORGIVABLE and this is clearly stated in EVERY translation of the Bible, Protestant or Catholic.

Thank you for your response , I am not asking you to receive anything I may have scribed here that is between you and God but if “anyone” speaks and it points to Jesus and the Father or encourages a deeper relationship with them and to bring the body of Christ together this is Jesus however many today do not think The Lord can or will speak through his children today and yet they go and listen to pastors , fathers , rabbis , bishops or clergy , “ people “ voicing the word and their interpretation .

This is bascally the same .
If someone stands up in a church or group and prophecies or gives a word of knowledge it will point us to Jesus .

It really isn’t difficult , however their are some that are not from Christ that will twist words around and change them to draw attetion to themselves and their vanity pointing to them “ alone “ attacking others to entrone themselves over others and this is not my goal but only to encourage the body of Christ through what I am sharing that does point to Jesus and the Fsther alone and though it may at times be in the first person this is not me but of The Spirit of The Living God as in others that speak here and throughout the body of Christ .

Jealousy and mallice , guile have no excuse however and these spirits of anger and the “ anti “ christ will always be around us until we are with Jesus once again .

Attacking others here or anywhere is “not “ the love of the Father but vanity the way of Cain . . .

I notice the ones that are angry first ask are you a prophet that question speaks volumes of a damaged heart in need of repair from past hurts whether in church from other christians or in the body or public ,

When we disappear offence takes no hold .

We can all learn a lot from Moses and Korah’s rebellion against him and God .

Enough said .

"do you believe in prophets and Apostles today in the church ?"

In the strict sense of the words, no. Apostles needed to be "one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection." - Acts 1

Paul was the exception, chosen by God. He repeatedly defended his apostleship, but since it was marked by raising folks from the dead, most agreed. Interestingly, I don't recall very many occasions where he threatened doubters with being swallowed up by the earth! In fact, he praised those who searched the scriptures to see if what he said was true...

So unless there are some 2000+ year old men running around, no to Apostles.

Prophets needed to give revelation to the early church, since God's Word - the 'God-breathed' writings of scripture - were not available. I believe there may be places where modern day prophets fill a similar role, but God has given us His word, and said that it suffices to thoroughly equip the man of God for every good deed.

God may give a special revelation at times when the need is great, but he has ALREADY given us the revelation we need to be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Note: Sola Scriptura is a double edged sword!

As Jesus noted in a parable, "...And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.' But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' He said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.'" - Luke 16

Those not convinced by the scriptures will not be swayed by the internet writings of Jeff Kingshott...assuming, Jeff, you are in agreement with scripture. This I do not believe!

BTW, Jeff - when you are working on having the ground in Vail Arizona swallow me up, could you try to have the Border Collie at my feet spared? He is just to the west of me...

I See this as swords sharpening swords not guile or judging others , If I share a verse that may seem heavy or harsh it is only to compare how we are to act and interact with our brothers and sisters in Christ .

we are in this together to bring the body into unity ! just as Psalm 133 and I do believe these discussions have brought much to light and bearing fruit in those humble enough to receive between us all . I am listening to what you are conveying intently and I am not above correction although some here may be unfortunately though that should not be the intent at all but unity and growth . Got to go things to do for the kingdom of God . . .
