Coulda fooled me!
Ahhhh . . .
at leas a reasonably starkly stated bias finally surfaces overtly.
I’ve been asking Jedediah for several weeks if he believes he is a prophet of God, all I want is a simple YES or NO answer and still have not received an intelligible response.
A retraction and apology would go a long way towards restoring your credibility.
Why do I find that EXCEEDINGLY UNBELIEVABLE?
Huh? Your posts are starting to resemble you prophet-deity’s more and more.
Here’s a more lucid prophet, also free of charge:
Because the concepts are beyond you? OTOH you have no trouble with UFO drivel. Odd, that.
I hear a nap calling me.
Or else your Sunday is terribly . . . boring?
You have to walk to my house and if I feel you are worthy, I will sell you a set.
I am just a child of God have I been used for God in the prophetic before , yes , healing yes , word of knowledge , yes but for God’s glory .
I just do my best to be obedient to his calling in my pesonal life and try to encourage others .
Some time ago Dave Wilkerson wrote a book called the Cross and the switchblade and in this book he mentioned the financial district of new york would be hit hard also Japan pulling all money out of our country . the first part has come to pass 9-11, he also years ago prophecied about our families and money in great detail , try to look up his later prophecies . He has been a street minister for years for kids .
I found this one he wrote recently because of what The Lord has been sharing with our home group of intercessors and that while all these things happen around us we will be supplied by God with everything we need just as Elijah was and to stay close “intimate” with the Lord Jesus for what is very near .
I believe we will witness the destruction of Damascus possibly , found in Isaiah 17 “ the very hand of God “ and all the nations will witness this !
Dave wikerson has a humble ministry and close strong men of God beside him .
I believe his words to be very accurate . Much more than others I won’t mention so as not to judge .
I wish I could get someone to print mine up so I do not need to charge for the printing , however all I get can be gotten for free on my blog so really unless someone wants a copy its all free on line ...
I live in the Northwest how long of a walk would it be ?
A child of God used in various gifts according to God’s will .
I believe we are all used in this way and at times all the gifts manifest as God needs them for his purpose in our lives not according to man .
Jesus and the Apostles were all acroos the board in the gifts of the spirit
I apologize for nothing. Why are you not demanding an apology from your own? Their behavior is horrific.
All I'm good at, is computers.
And God called my cell phone to tell me that, lo, though He loves all His creations, He kinda hates me.
God hates me.
Please answer my questions in post 38 in plain English.
narses says: Please answer my questions in post 109 in plain English.
No I only post things on Free Republic.
Earlier you asked if we believed prophets and Apostles exist in the church today. I said I believe prophets exist. Your question shook my legalistic "Apostle" Box. I only put 13 in there including Paul. Maybe my definition of "Apostle" is to narrow?
I'm digging out my backpack and will start northeast tomorrow.
It should take about 20 days if I can manage 40 miles a day.
I read Wilkerson’s blog every weekday.
What I meant was that if I wanted to read about someone who suffers from the delusion that they are a prophet, I could read "Helter Skelter". I believe I later pointed out that maniacs like Jim Jones and David Koresh also believed they were prophets with the "mind of Christ" (though I don't believe they used the exact phrase).
What I have seen on these threads is typical of a maniacal cult, both with the "prophetic" leader and his followers and the cult behavior seems to be escalating.
Why are you afraid?
Perhaps because I have been WARNED about false prophets.
Baloney. He’s just fed up with the nastiness on this thread. Deal with it.
OMG, your Jack is the spittin’ image of my dear departed Brandy. She was the best dog ever. So smart. She lived 16 years, and was still learning new things to the day she died. We miss her so.
Reading minds and name calling are against the rules sis. Deal with it. People who pretend to be prophets and those who deal in UFO goofiness get scorned by those who are rational. Deal with that, sis.
Because the evil clowns are after me.
My, my, must be fun to play God.
What if common sense and rationality are the opposite of faith?
“Doggies to love and leaves to jump in. What more could a girl want!”
GIRL? Tell her to get in line - that looks pretty close to Heaven to ME!
Ask your "prophet".
He has been consistenly loving, peaceful, kind and patient on these posts. He’s the ONLY one who has.
Amen, Marbren. All born again believers are part and parcel of the Body of Christ. Halleluia.
What a beautiful picture!
Amen, Quix. Sad for them.
I’ve never doubted you for a minute, Laz. You are a most humble and endearing FReeper.
Yeah, it’s truly funny. Dave’s not the one who needs to apologize on this thread. LOL.
Amen. Worst I’ve seen EVER on these threads.
That wasn’t God. It was his adversary. God loves you soooooooo much. Hey, if we can love you, why can’t God?
Modern apostles plant churches today. We are still operating in the five fold ministries, regardless of what our fundamental bretheren think.
Border Collies are interesting dogs, even by dog standards. My first was a mixed breed GSD/BC...20 years after his death, I still think he was the best dog I’ve ever owned. The first purebred was such a high energy dog that we were worried when my wife gave birth - but the worries were unfounded. She raised our youngest daughter. She couldn’t use her teeth to herd her, so when our daughter got too adventurous, Leila would lie down on top of her and call for backup.
Jack has earned the nickname, “Jack the Slipper”. Runs at 100 mph outside, but curls up on people’s feet inside. I’m pretty well convinced that Border Collies don’t need sheep, they need their people! They herd sheep because it makes their people happy....
Actually, based on a couple of times around sheep, Leila had a tremendous amount of herding instinct - but her family was her obsession, as is Jack’s. They are wonderful dogs, as you well know!
He’s not MY prophet but he is my friend.
Have I ever seen a UFO other than a picture on the tv???
Have I ever seen a pope???
Brandy was a pound puppy. The whole litter was dropped off in a cardboard box in the middle of the night, at about four weeks old. I never knew what breed she was. I figured she probably had some type of herding dog. I’ve seen many dogs that she looked a little bit like. This is the first time I’ve seen another dog who looked so much like her.
Well, Jack is a purebred short coat Border Collie. Border Collies come in lots of variations. The ones I’ve known were all very smart, had independent judgment, very energetic, very loyal and ADORED their people.
Our other two dogs are pound dogs - one is a purebred Australian Shepherd the Humane Society got from a puppy mill. More obedient than smart, loves everyone (most Border Collies I’ve known are a bit suspicious at first) and wishes he could be a 75 lb lapdog. Our third has been with us 4 years. We’re his third family. A very gentle, sweet dog, whose alter-ego is an outstanding watchdog!
We bought Jack from a breeder in Oregon and had him shipped to Arizona because we wanted a Border Collie from good working lines. However, the other 2 are living proof that a pound dog can also be a wonderful friend and companion!
Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Your version omits the ordination part.
Must one be ordained. It is fit or proper that one should be ordained. The reason of this was, that Jesus had originally chosen the number twelve for this work, and as one of them had fallen, it was proper that the breach should be filled by some person equally qualified for the office, The reason why it was proper that he should be taken from the seventy disciples was, that they had been particularly distinguished by Jesus himself, and commanded to preach, and endowed with various powers, and had been witnesses of most of his public life, Luke 10:1-16. The word ordained, with us, has a fixed and definite meaning. It denotes to set apart to a sacred office with the proper form and solemnities, commonly by the imposition of hands. But this is not, of necessity, the meaning of this passage. The Greek word usually denoting ordination is not used here. The expression is, literally, must one be, or become--\~genesyai\~--a witness with us of his resurrection." The expression does not imply that he must be set apart in any particular manner, but simply that one should be designated, or appointed for this specific purpose, to be a witness of the resurrection of Christ.
So it looks to me like putting 'ordained' in is a loose translation - not entirely wrong, perhaps, but not fully justified by the Greek text. I used the ESV, which is in agreement with the usually very literal NASB, and Young's Literal Translation.
BTW - I don’t know Greek, so I have to rely on what I read on the subject.
Seems we now have a group interested in setting a record for the number of
BEARING FALSE WITNESS posts.
INDEED! INDEED! INDEED!
Beats a FALSE PROPHET thread...
