You better not! I don't swing that way.
It’s very telling that your ilk hides behind caucus threads yet comes here making fun of the WORD OF GOD with a silly ‘lolcatz’ translation. Your conduct speaks volumes and your opinions mean nothing.
FAR TOO MUCH TRUTH IN THAT POST!
It often seems like the same spirit(s) driving the old one as this one.
—same IN-GROUP/OUT-GROUP dynamics
—same hideousness of thought and words
—similar dogpiling on victims
—similar attitudes, spirits of vengeance
—similar haughty smugness
—similar constructions on ‘reality.’
. . .
RANT AGAINST SCRIPTURE, if you must.
Folks either become broken ON The Word of God
crushed under it.
I’m not a Catholic, as others on this thread can affirm!
This isn’t a Catholic issue, but a simple Christian one - we have been warned of false prophets. I’ve seen the terrible harm they can do, both to churches and individuals. If false prophets were not dangerous, Jesus would not have said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits.”
Notice they deceive - they come claiming to be sheep, and dressed as such. But they are “ravenous wolves” - and ravenous wolves can do a LOT of damage to a flock of sheep!
So is Jedediah true or false? Based on everything I’ve seen, I have no choice but to conclude false. He and his supporters REFUSE to explain what the rather incoherent words mean, so there is no way to compare his message to scripture. Further, they respond to those who question by calling names and threatening judgment. They create division, and blame anyone who merely asks them to explain how the ‘prophecies’ glorify God?
One would expect a true prophet to be GLAD for the chance to give glory to God, rather than call anyone who asks an unbeliever deserving God’s wrath.
Further, Jedediah often seems to utter prophecies that indicate he thinks he is Jesus Christ. Sorry, but no one who does that is a true prophet.
As I’ve pointed out on another thread, some of those I agree with here are folks I’ve debated at great length - with hundreds of posts. Being very human, and having a sinful hot temper, I’ve sometimes thought unkind thoughts of them. Being ex-military with nearly 2500 hours of fighter flight time, I’ve sometimes used rude words - my dogs could testify against me! But that is MY sin, and sometimes God has to deal with MY sin before I can post again.
That said, once God has rebuked me for my temper, I’ve always been able to come back and try to explain again. The people I’ve argued with are folks that God came to earth and died for - they deserve the very best explanation I can give. They aren’t pigs, or swine, or folks for me to call God’s wrath down on...far from it!
I’m no more likely to convince MarkBsnr or Petronski or others to become Baptist than they are to convince me to become Catholic. And given some of the ‘toothy grin Baptist churches’ I’ve seen, that may not be an entirely bad thing...although doctrinally, of course, the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith is one of the finest expressions of...well, we’ll save that for another thread!
But folks reading can see what both sides believe and decide how God wants them to respond. And with time, God is teaching me just enough humility (did I mention pride is my other favorite sin?) to grant Him the right to deal with each of us according to His will and His time.
But Jedediah and Quix seem to skip the whole ‘explain what you believe’ thing and go straight to condemnation. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve asked for an explanation, and there has been NONE. Condemnation? Yep. Explanation? Nope.
So I see no choice but to call Jedediah a false prophet.
And false prophets don’t merit respect.
And I’ve pinged him, so he can defend his views if he wishes - which would be a first!
To be expected...Jedediah quotes a lot of scripture and these 'caucus' people don't even recognize it...They think Jedediah is making this stuff up...
Can YOU explain what his ‘prophecies’ mean? To date, I’ve never received an answer.
Last evening, on the phone, Jedediah, rather out of the blue, ministered to me about a very troublesome situation, in Asia, 12 years ago--that he could have had absolutely NO awareness of, apart from God's Holy Spirit.
It was beautiful, redemptive and precisely accurate to the realities invovled.
Wonderful fruit from a wonderful, Biblical anointing.
Of course, those not interested in THE TRUTH, determined to construe the world in THEIR image . . . are not likely to avail themselves of such ministry. Nor is God routinely likely to oblige them, if they do.
I’ve explained the Biblical exhortation God gave some of His prophets
TO AVOID DEFENDING THEMSELVES.
I’ve explained that it’s a fairly broad based teaching that
THAT IS THE PROPER STANCE for servants of God, particularly prophets to take . . .
TO TRUST AND DEPEND ON GOD TO BE THEIR DEFENSE
and to avoid getting caught up in such.
You persist in railing against that very Biblical stance.
That’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooo impressive.
I think that if folks are unwilling or unable to get satisfactory explanation from The Lord, far be it from me to fill-in where The Lord refuses to oblige.
I'll settle for ranting against fake prophets.
Especially those with poorly done fakery.
Sometimes it seems that FR has entered a
reality distortion field.
I haven't been following Jedidiah's threads enough to know if he claims to be a prophet...I know he quotes a lot of scripture...And it's clear the 'caucus' bots don't know enough scripture to criticize anyone for anything...
It's got to be a rough time to be a prophet...There have come to be many doctrines out there as well as private interpretations of the scripture... I couldn't qualify anyone as a prophet who appears (to me) to veer off the path of what I believe scripture says...
In my limited viewing of Jedediah's prophecies, I haven't seen anything that would lead someone away from the truth of the Gospel...Maybe he has and I missed it in which case I would take up your mantle and carry it with you...
What I find hilarious is someone from the Catholic church criticizing someone else's perceived heresy...
Your words speak volumes, but not the ones you think!
The duplicities involved from the Roman Catholics
has been . . . outrageously hilarious . . . when one doesn’t think of how sad it all is.
Due, no doubt, to an overabundance of fake prophets.
Neither I nor Padre Pio elevated himself above mere men.
But YOU brought him up. Since I do not want a "war" here, I'll drop the subject for another thread.
And how would you know
what I think????
Mind reading practice again?
When do you complete that class?
I see no Catholic Caucus members behaving like atheists, no matter how the protestants behave. But I'm sure the amen chorus on the protty side will be glad for the slur.
Of course we recognize it as scripture. However, he also posts a lot of nonsense and does not explain it, nor the connection to the scripture. He speaks with the voice of Christ, and yet somehow sounds more like the Adversary. Since we know the difference between the two, it is clear that this is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
That is a really good post, Mr Rogers. It shines with the theological virtue of supernatural charity.
I will endeavor to emulate some of what you wrote.
LOL - your ‘ilk’ has a pope hat!
what I think????
Mind reading practice again?
When do you complete that class?
I recall a number of times in your posts where words have had different meanings than the dictionary. And other times where you have declined to explain a meaning of a post, when asked. So, most posters are reduced to either mind reading or invoking the NGR. Since mind-reading is against the rules, which you never fail to remind everyone, all that is left is the NGR. So, NGR now in effect.
Isn't that an Iron Maiden song?
Thanks for this post! It was fantastic and I agree completely.
Isaiah prophecied along with Jeremiah in the first person tense
If you are a child of God and hear his voice Jesus himself not I will indeed give you what it means for you personally , where are your words from the lord , share with us please his wisdom he has shared “ The testimony of Jesus in your life freely we receive freely we share and I am sharing what Jesus is speaking to me , I am just a child of God that is all just like many here . . .
Maybe you have more to share than you even realized , God has given you specific gifts and as we humble ourselves Jesus will pour out through us as broken vessels and I emphasize broken ( humble ) with no guile .
Yes, but they made sense. So far, your prophecies are unintelligible. Surely you do not compare your prophecies with theirs--?
This is absolutely true. This is a basic principal of proper Christian behavior. Jesus Christ our Lord modeled this perfectly for us. Silence is also a very powerful tool at times. Why are so many here afraid of Jedediah presenting God's word?
We are NOT on a first name basis.
More false prophecy and divisive weirdness supported by the attack dogs of the UFO cult. Very odd.
If it is a riddle to you perhaps this will clear thimgs up for you and raise up the Fear of The lord that he delights in , in you as well for his glory . . .
4 At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them came out. 5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:
“When a prophet of the LORD is among you,
I reveal myself to him in visions,
I speak to him in dreams.
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the LORD.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”
9 The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them.
10 When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriamleprous, [a] like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy; 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
Proverbs 1:5-7 (New King James Version)
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
In as much as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.
So, if I disrespect your prophecies, I'll get leprosy, like Miriam?
I tell you now: The Lord Jesus Christ, Risen Son of the Almighty Living God, will protect me from impotent threats and demonic influences online. I fear nothing, for I am His. I belong to Him, and He will keep what is His. He is my Savior. I laugh at veiled threats.
As though you had the power to compel any FReeper to do anything.
For months you have been posting senseless nonsense (except when you commit blasphemy, that is always obvious) and you have the audacity to ask any of us to expound?!
Why would someone who claims to have the "mind of Christ" need to ask a person to expound? Shouldn't they already KNOW what we are thinking?
We might as well post the LOLCAT Bible, it makes more sense than this self-appointed so-called “Mind of Christ” blaspheming prophet.
Is that your Ilk on the wall, or someone else’s Ilk???
This sounds like false witness to me.
First of all, I rarely participate in caucus threads and regularly debate theological issues on non-caucused threads.
Secondly, I challenge you to find a SINGLE post where I have used "lolcatz" or anything similar.
I think if anything these threads have demonstrated that despite our differences, Catholics, Protestants and Baptists are in complete agreement that much of the Pentecostal movement embraces false prophecy and blasphemy.
It's very telling that your ilk hides behind caucus threads yet comes here making fun of the WORD OF GOD with a silly 'lolcatz' translation. Your conduct speaks volumes and your opinions mean nothing.I agree with Wagglebee, this is defamatory, the bearing of false witness. A retraction and apology would go a long way towards restoring your credibility.
no look at the part concerning the riddles
do you believe in prophets and Apostles to dya in the church ?
