Tolerance is a virtue the Left loves to trumpet, except when the intolerable is set forward. In this instance, the intolerable is a gentle Christian evangelistic overture to a celebrity caught in sexual scandal.
Yesterday, Fox News analyst and professing Christian Brit Hume expressed his spiritual concern for Tiger Woods and urged the golf superstar to turn to Christianity for grace and forgiveness during a segment of the January 3 edition of "Fox News Sunday."
For that, Hume is being lambasted by some liberal bloggers, including Atlanta Jounal-Constitution's Jay Bookman who unleashed this venom in a brief three paragraph blog post yesterday afternoon:

Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets."

Correct me if I am wrong - but didn't Brit offer this as just one man's opinion? He wasn't passing sentence, or delivering a Judicial opinion, or in some way compelling Tiger to do anything. He was offering a fellow human being, who is having problems, his considered best advice out of genuine charity and concern.
I realize these motivations, and modis oporandi escape Lib-tard mindset, but gee give the guy a break.

Excuse me but you have a grip on reality and obviously possess common sense. Don’t expect liberals to think as clearly as you do. :)

Brit is great. I really miss him as the anchor of Special Report. That said; I don't think any Buddhist would take offense at what Brit said. That doesn't make sense to me. Brit obviously loves his Christian faith and, feeling great empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through, he was reaching out from the heart to him.
Tiger is not a victim and even now I doubt that he sees himself as a victim so the last thing he could relate to is the victimhood mentality of a leftist.

Why would this be a surprise? Communists despise and hate religion, They seek a secular world devoid of Christians.

Hume was great — it was commentary on one sports figure.
