Colofornian did provided a link

http://www.lifeafter.org/reasons.asp

But it is more readable here on FR without opening another link where I would have to increase the font to read it. My eyes are not that good anymore. I guess I'm part of the 1/10000th percent.

Allas .... Christianity has come full circle! Once the victims of the Catholic Inquisition ... the Protestants ARE now the Inquistors!

Thank goodness for God’s grace in establishing the rule of law or you Protestants would still be killing us Mormons like you great-grandfathers did!

... Hey people, Look at your own religion with a fraction of the intensity that you look at ours!!!

All of the Catholic Creeds which the Protestants use to define thier Godhead (instead of using the bible) are an abomination to God. You reject other Catholic teachings ... why hold onto the Nicean, Apostolic and Athenasian Creeds? Why not follow the Bible?

As God Said, you can’t put new wine into old bottles ... or else the old bottles will corrupt the new wine!

God had to bypass Modern Protenstatism in order to restore his gospel to the earth in preparation for the second coming.

Those who claim Christ, should be reintroduced to His Father who Christ maintianed the glory should go to!

As Christ demonstrated and taught time and time again, look to God the Father of all, to whom Christ gave all the glory and

It’s the tired old try at having the thread pulled because the apologists can’t stand the heat. If the posts are disgusting enough, the admin pulls the thread.

I wish he would pull this one. We don’t talk to Jews like this, we don’t talk to Catholics like this. This really offends me. I have a lot of Mormon friends. They will tell you that hate has killed a lot of Mormons. This post reaks of it in my opinion. Since the moderator pulled my earlier request to remove the post I guess he doesn’t agree with me that saying terrible things about good people is offensive to some, it certainly is to me.

You’re sucking up quite a bit of bandwidth here with something that could have been linked to Very, very, very few on this site will even bother to read past your first paragraph.

(Well, just wait til they produce the other 540!)

Your post was pulled for language. Potty language - and references to potty language - are not allowed on the Religion Forum.

It’s intentionally deceptive and misleading.

Mormons are indeed peculiar. As one, I know that. But if one is going to make daily attempts to tear down a religion, at least do it in an honest way.

Give it up Rip. This thread is tanking with all the anti-Mormons showing up.

I expected better from FR. Sigh.

Hangs head. Shuffles away.

It is important to make the distinction where opposing the vagaries of Mormonism is not opposing the good people. I too have close Mormon friends. I do not however attack them when I oppose the heresies of Joseph Smith.

Here's what you left out on #1, ABORTION. I've bolded the parts before and after that you intentionally skipped.

(Hey, this isn't my list -- so didn't "intentionally skip" anything).

While we denounce it, we make allowance...

Kind of says everything just right there, eh Rip? Except that you're not just "tolerating" it -- as if abortion comes upon you like a disease. Abortions are initiated. Abortion, in fact, is the means of death. It's like taking a knife or sword in your hand & slicing somebody up til you no longer recognize them. That's not an "allowance" -- how pathethic are the Mormon wordmeisters who came up with that!

...to pray in great earnestness, receiving a confirmation through prayer before proceeding.

So, on top of that, Mormons go further than any other church in their abortion language by bringing God in as a co-conspirator to this slice-and-dice crime. They say if you pray about it & He says, "OK, rev up the dismemberment vacuum cleaner," then it's all A-OK! How ugly!!!

That's not "tolerating" or "allowing" something; that's an open assault upon the most vulnerable place to live on earth!

...we make allowance in such circumstances as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape...

Do you realize Rip, that when the Mormon bishops & Mormon church "allows" an incest perp-member to take their daughter or stepdaughter to the corner abortionist, they are helping that incest perpetrator cover up their crime? (And yet you present this act on violence upon both the baby & the mom-victim as something noble? You make my skin crawl when you justify one crime with another horrific one!)

...when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have serious defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth.

Several things:
(1) This Lds statement twice references "competent medical authority". Here's the problem: This Lds statement hasn't kept up with the realities of the abortion industry. Don't you realize, Rip, that 90% of abortions are done in free-standing abortion clinics by full-time abortionists? (Not hospitals; not private OB-GYN offices)
(2)Therefore, don't you realize, Rip, that 90% of Mormon girls/women considering an abortion are likely to be headed for a full-time abortionist? And you think this abortionist is really going to cut back on his tally mark by considering the health of either victim #1 (baby) or victim #2 (Mom)? Really??? So the Lds church is now calling abortionists "competent medical authorities?"
(3) I can't tell you how many women were told the babies they were having were disabled or worse -- only to find out later (by not having the recommended abortion) that it just wasn't so. Anytime you turn a doctor or abortionist into a "prophet" (Lds statement language uses the word "known" as if they were a clairvoyant with 100% diagnostic accuracy), then look out!!!
(4) Look at this phrase: ...when the...health of the mother judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy..." (what the blank does that mean?) The 1973 Supreme Court used the word "health" in the exact same manner to justify ALL types of abortions; most "health" issues involving Mom won't kill her (ectopic situations -- and some stations of cancer development are about it -- IOW if "life" of the mother covered the phrasing already, pray tell WHY did the Mormon leaders see the necessity of adding the weasel clause of "health" to this horrific statement?

I don't think you'll get much better from FR. This is a daily multiple occurrence, and the anti’s always show up, like a moth to the flame.
...or rather like a dog to his vomit.

Thanks for your efforts.

You need a better hobby.

As long as you are consistent & tell the 60,000 Lds missionaries out there -- the ones who always talk about the "universal apostasy" (translation: Christians, Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox are apostates) -- about getting a "better hobby" then at least you're consistent.

Check your references if you don’t intend to stand by what you post.

If you're going to preach this, then why don't you stand by what you said in post #11. I addressed it -- but no response to what I said. (Why is that your traditional pattern?) Each time I address what you say, I get a "crickets" response as far as any kind of direct response.

If you're here just to take a few shots & not dialogue, then what kind of an Lds missionary would you be? What? You only pounce on those who are spiritually vulnerable? Or do you actually engage real people in real conversations about spiritual things? (No wonder the Lds church calls it proselytism and not evangelism or outreach!!!)
