I meant the early LDS church.
Even then they were so far removed from the Early Christian Church that it bore NO resemblance.
LOL. I knew what you meant. I was joking around and pointing out the absurdity of how LDS picks and chooses which book is the priority at the moment.

And you are right, they will pick and choose whatever book supports their argument. But there is never any real comparison between what the books say, or even a look at context of the verse(s).
If you compare LDS doctrine to the Bible, they do not match up, which is why I find it sadly amusing when the LDS throw out Bible verses to us, since they assume that THAT verse in “translated correctly”, even though they cannot tell us which verse are NOT.
Christians use Scripture to interpret Scriputre, the LDS don’t.
