The geologic process works just fine without him. We live on a cooling planet with cracks in its surface.

When those cracks move, you get an earthquake. No supernatural agent required.

God may have created the earth, but does he make water flow downstream, gravity does the work for the lord. The Hand of god may have made rivers but it isn’t constantly moving the water down the stream.

God creates, but does he move every single atom in this world all of the time?

The “natural” geologic process is in and of itself an act of God. The same way gravity is. God controls gravity. He invented the laws of physics.
