Sudanese Muslim officials arrest tens of thousands of women a year for wearing "indecent clothing, including trousers, and many have been fined and subjected to 40 whip lashes. Okay, let me first say. I hate these 11th Century trash and their idiotic religion. But. These women are in the Sudan, not frakin Nebraska! What do they expect to happen?
So 40 lashes for pants and 90 for talking on a cell phone? Why do people put up with this???

It wasn’t lashes, but I do remember being given a ‘verbal lashing’ a few decades ago for wearing jeans to school (here in the good old USA). I won’t say exactly how many decades.
You don’t have to say as I’m no spring chicken myself. I can’t quite understand why some people have a problem with women wearing pants. To me, in many cases, they seem more modest than dresses or skirts.
