Ifr memory serves, Bp Olmstead was also quite vocal during the recent Notre Dame Sorrowful Event.

Another dynamic worth mentioning is that generally Arizona is what California looks at for redemption. It is a South Western state that somehow managed to have all California positives except the wine and the ocean, and avoid all its negatives.

“Cardinal” Mahony should have been sent to Gitmo years ago. He is an enemy of America. I cringe at the thought of a Hispanic replacement, who would likely be even more of an advocate for Aztlan.

Thanks for the link. I agree that Mahoney should be in Gitmo for destroying the liturgy which is the first offensive weapon against secularism. He allows bad architecture, weak translations, sloppy altar servers, anti-Catholic teachers and flaming gays to exist on Catholic property.

Shameful. How many kids have been pressured into sex by a gay seminarian? How many Catholics have given up on making sacrifices to get to heaven? How many parents have spent money on the kid's Catholic grade schools without results? How many good priests have been rejected? How many souls will spit in Mahoney's face in the next life? I hope the new Cardinal requires everyone to kneel before and after communion. And I hope he follows the instructions of Pope Benedict XVI.

I don’t care if he’s a Gringo or a Mexican as long as he knows, preaches and believes the Catechism.

Olmsted was for a short period the bishop of Wichita replacing a bishop who had a heart condition but who later made a remarkable recovery. It's Wichita so with the crisis averted, Rome sent Olmsted to Phoenix and didn't bother to replace him for over 16 mos. While in Wichita the bishop had isolated the remnants of the “”Happy Clappy crowd to two parishes to keep the faithful free of the contamination that he would meet in Phoenix.

LA can have Olmstead only if Fr. Clements becomes his replacement.

Prayer for a new archbishop of Los Angeles

His Eminence Cardinal Roger M. Mahony is asking all Catholics to pray for the appointment of his successor as archbishop of Los Angeles. Here is the official prayer:

Lord God, you are our eternal and guide. In your mercy,
grant to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles a shepherd
who will walk in your ways and who watchful care will
bring us your blessing.

In your love for us, give us the joy of receiving a shepherd
who will be an example of goodness to your people and
who will fill our hearts and minds with the truth of the Gospel.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, you Son, who
lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for-
ever and ever. AMEN.
