From a dear Brother who is preparing to work in Asia. Names have been withheld because of the sensitive nature and location of their ministry. -------------------------------------------------------
This is one of the hardest posts for me to write. Today, we went to the Doctor to find out about our baby that we are expecting in 19 weeks. Because this pregnancy hasnt gone as smoothly as our first one, we were a little worried going into the appointment, especially since we had been given no new information at our last appointment. Well, we finally received some answers today.
We were able to hear the babys heart beat and see its profile (got a picture). We were excited! Then the ultrasound technician had to get the doctor and the doctor came in to look at the rest of the babys body. After she was done, she took us into a different room and explained the condition of our little baby.
Our baby has what is known as Body Stalk Anomaly. Basically, all the organs from the mid-chest down have developed outside the body and have attached themselves to the wall of the placenta. This condition makes the baby incapable of living outside the womb. The baby has a 5% percent chance of living. If the baby does make it full term it will only live for a minute or two.
With that being said, please be in prayer for the baby, my wife, and our family. The baby is currently living, and [wife's name] will continue to carry the baby as long as it lives. We know the Lord is in control, and we will continue as normal to see what the Lord does. If the baby passes away before it is full term then Natasha will be induced and give labor to the baby. This could happen at anytime, so we will be going to the doctor at least every other week to check up on it.
We will love this baby as long as it lives. We will tell it of its Creator and the love He has for us. We will tell it how it could soon be meeting Him.
We are thankful that the Lord has given us this child. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away; blessed be the name of the LORD. As the baby lives we will praise the Lord for everyday He has allowed us to have it, and once it passes on, we will continue to praise the Lord!
Thank your for your prayers and concern
Prayers up, definitely.

Oh Lord, You Are Truth... protect the Faith of our brothers and sisters... We are in Your time...You are eternal Life and You are eternal Love...may this circumstance draw all involved unto You... we know what we want to happen... a healing, an earthly miracle... We know the circumstance is Yours.. we are in Your hands...in joy and in sorrow... I ask for Your healing power to prevail... In Jesus Name... Ahmen.
Prayers Up
How terribly sad. May the Lord sustain this family in faith, hope, and love, and hold their precious baby in His heart.
Prayers for this family and especially prayers for the baby.

Prayers sent.
But Jesus called them to him, saying, Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Luke 18:16
Prayers for you and your family.
I have prayed for your baby, your wife and you. The very conception of a baby is an enormous miracle. My prayer is that God will give you another miracle and that somehow that little ones organs will suddenly, or over the time your wife carries that precious little one, those organs will end up perfectly placed in that child. Nothing is impossible with God!!! After all, Jesus raised Lazarus and others from the dead. Again, nothing is impossible!!!
Heartfelt prayers up, FRiend.
I will pray for you all.
My prayers are with both of you.
My 4th grandson had many problems before birth. We were told he probably would not survive the pregnancy. My DIL was put on bed rest the last 10 weeks of pregnancy. My son told me that it was in Gods hands and that we should accept his will. Saying and doing are not too easy. Just alot of prayer and hope. Conner is now 13 months old. He has a lot of medical problems, though not as many as docs said he would. We take it day by day.
My message is that even though doctors know a lot and tests show alot, miracles do happen. (BTW, docs pics of my gs showed a big hole in head filling with fluid)
God does perform miracles and I pray you both know the joy that we too have known with this baby grandson.
I will keep you in my prayers. Be strong.
Prayers going up!
To all of you . . .
And Thank You, Catholic Prayer Ping List ...
I am compiling all every prayer and kind thought in this thread in a letter to send to this family.
I will try to post subsequent news from them.
Every life has a purpose and I know He will use this for their eternal good and His glory ... praying for peace for the mom and dad
It’s an honor and a privilege to share a journey with a child, no matter the journey’s length.
Amen
Prayers on the way for a brave family.
Prayers sent.
Prayers lifted.
I have no words.
I must let the Holy Spirit groan for me.
The Lord will honor this couple, for all children are a gift from the Lord.
And the Lord of all, who loves each one, will work His perfect will in all of this.
Dear Heavenly Father, bless this family as they seek your guidance while sowing their love for your gift to them, and bless the medical staff with wisdom in their caring for mother and child. In Jesus’ Merciful and Healing Name, Amen
