Years ago I taught school in a small town in northern Arizona with a high Mormon population. I taught 7th and 8th grades. One day when I was complaining about a group of my male students, one of my colleagues said they get really cocky and obnoxious after they go through this Mormon priesthood thing. There were other LDS boys who didn’t act like that, but enough did for me to take notice.

I’m not surprised. I have seen 14 yr old boys tell their own mothers that they (the mothers) weren’t worthy and they (the boys) knew because they held the Priesthood.

I have also known men to hold the priesthood over their wives and threaten to not call them out of the graves if they weren’t submissive enough.

Serious power trip there.
