After serving as a priest in San Antonio, Archbishop Goméz worked in the Diocese of Denver. He was made an auxiliary bishop of Archbishop Chaput in 2001.

Yes, it will be very interesting to watch.

In some cases, we will think that the new Archbishop is not moving quickly enough.

And then, when looking at the entire set of problems in the L. A. Archdiocese, it will take years to remedy them. It will be s slow process.

However, I am heartened by sockmonkey’s comments on another thread Bishop Gomez works quietly and sometimes people don’t even realize the changes are happening.

We, here, at FR will surely think it is worth keeping up with!
