Has anyone else read "Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenberg?? While I KNOW scripture will unfold EXACTLY as God fortold, it seems as though God has given Rosenberg a true gift. I can't help but think with the nuke treaty, this plane crash, they way Obama is turning his back on Israel, etc. that we are on the precepise of something HUGE and that it may be unfolding very close to what Rosenberg wrote. Rosenberg is not the authority, God's word is, but I really feel God has given him the gift to take scripture and current events and tie them together. Does anyone else see this?? What are your thoughts???
How is Gio a doomsayer in that he/she is only taking God at HIS word??? How is believing and stating what GOD states in His word being a doomsdayer?? By your standard, John was a doomsdayer, or even God for that matter. It is just ridiculous to call all of us who take God at HIS (not ours) literal word, a doomsdayer. I assume you believe in a literal hell, if I apply your standard I could say you are a “doomsdayer†by believing millions go to an actual hell. I don’t get how believing that at some point Jesus comes back as a warrior and smites his enemies once and for all and then sets up his kingdom is a doomsday scenario. Sounds like message of hope that Satan and all that follow him get what they are asking for and Jesus takes his rightful place. I think all Gio and I are doing is being what we are COMMANDED to be, watchmen on a wall. I would also hope that even MORE importantly, we are also being what we are commanded to be, salt and light and ambassadors of the gospel and taking the truth to a dead and dying world! I am NOT applying this to you, but I think, often times, those that don’t want to look at prophecy and see what is happening around them in light of scripture, do so because they are really too attached to this world and d are “sad” at the thought of seeing it come to an end.. FWIW They are more of this world then they should be, i.e. they like their material possessions, careers, etc. Not those things are necessarily evil, but their eternal perspective is off.
Besides , this is probably a very small part of our Christian walk, in that I, as I can only speak for myself, spend the vast majority of my time tallking to others about the plan of salvation and not the second coming and all that entails.
It's ironic that the Japanese are what they are today because they adopted Quality concepts originated by an American and rejected by American corporations: An exceptionally efficient society at all levels and a country a heckuva lot cleaner and safer than a significant portion of the good ol' USA. And God had nothing to do with it. Those who pretend to know the mind of God are full-blown delusional.
Triupmh of evil? I’m not sure what you’re getting at here. Everything I’ve read on the subject indicates that in the end, God triumphs and Satan and evil lose.
I suppose that John, Paul and other fall into that category according to your standards...
I just don't get how discussing ALL of the Bible is equated as working for Satan. Unbelievable!!!

I read it I’m a Christian. As soon as heard this morning what happened in Poland my thoughts went to Gog & Magog.
But the plane was a Russian plane according to the news.
Reading fortunes and reading Scripture are completely different things. One points to God and His coming Glory, the other does not give God the glory and takes it from Him.
Jesus instructed us that we would not know the date or the time of His return, but we would know the season, and that we are to WATCH. That is all that is suggested. That we watch the signs and the times, and to look to the Scriptures, as Jesus commanded us to.
We are looking for His return as our Blessed Hope. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and He is returning. We know not know when, but we long for it, so we watch. At the same time, we understand the urgency in sharing the Gospel with as many as we can. Nothing will stop God’s Word from reaching the corners of the world. It is all in Scripture. Satan can’t stop God—just as Satan cannot stop Prophecy from being fulfilled.

If I’m not mistaken.. the Peace Treaty is for 7 years and in 3 1/2 years the antichrist breaks it and so brings the tribulation.
There have always been earthquakes in diverse places. He didn’t say that these things were omens of the End. He said we would experience them or learn about them but the “end is not yet.” I take that to mean that we will have a tendency to fear the End when we see all those things but that they do not signify the End.

Regardless of how we live our lives, we still fall short in the eyes of God. Jesus Christ came to this earth for the sole purpose of taking on our sins and dying with them.
Salvation is a gift of God that can not be earned or bought. We can not take credit for any of our salvation, it is attained through faith in Jesus Christ and that faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit.
Good works are a result of this gift, but not a reason for salvation.
